Easter eggs (sort of) in the CKG??

Post by Tadhg »

Has anyone noticed some easter eggs (sort of) or perhaps I’ll call ‘em “a nod” to either Gary or D&D in the CKG?

The drawing on page 83 is a nod to the Emirikol (a miracle) drawing by Tramp in DMG (page 192).

A 19th/20th level rogue has the title of Gorde (as in Gorde the Rogue)! And a 21st/24th level one is a Master Gorde!!

I think I saw a few others, but can’t recall at the moment.

Well done, Trolls!

I noticed a reference to Papers & Paychecks in the land as rewards section.

Maybe a stretch, but that was the first thing I thought of when I saw it...

Under Pitfalls, page 171, first paragraph, warning the CK not to turn the game into Paper and Paychecks.

Actually, I believe that Gord the Rogue has no "e" on the end of his name. Still a neat catch, however. ;)

It may not have been intentional, but the description of terrycloth had me thinking of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Intentional. I'd know.
