Been awhile since I cracked the pages, but didn't the Flumph in the "Fiend Folio" have more straight-down pierce-you stalk-appendages rather than
tentacles? At least that's how I remember the picture.

If I'm getting what you mean, you might be confused through bad perspective. It seems to me that all the tentacles are on the rim of the creature, and the downy, stabby things are all underneath.

Unless your talking about the t-shirt, then I agree there are tentacles down there. (Though I hardly want to think what else they could be. I wonder if they are at all related to cephalopods?)
