Do some of the "dragon" spells need tweaking?

My friends and I played our sort of C&C session yesterday. My friend ran one of the old Mark Acres modules. Can't remember the title. Anyway, our gm was less than impressed with some of the dragon spells. Dragon armor and dragon bite come to mind. I don't have the book in front of me, but it seems like he had a beef with the duration of some of those spells. He likes the trappings so to speak, but thought Dragon Armor wasn't quite as good as traditional Mage Armor(as I recall). Any thoughts?

Yes, this was my solution.

● Level 1- Dragon Armour; This spell creates the illusion of any armour of the casters choice. All other effects
remain unchanged.

● Level 3- Dragon Mount; (Magic Mount) The illusory mount created by this spell may be of any type.
The material component is a small piece of hide, fur or scale from the type of creature created - a giant version of
a normal creature will be created. Other effects remain unchanged.

● Illusory Wolves; (Illusory Allies) This spell creates the illusion of any medium sized or smaller creatures of the
casters choice. Other effects remain unchanged. Note; if bats are chosen they fly at the same movement
rate, if eels are chosen they swim etc.) Same for level 6: Illusory Lions (Improved Illusory Allies)

● Level 4- Dragon Scales; (Magic Aura)This spell creates a visible, magical mantle/aura (of any description- sparkles,
illusory flames etc.). Other effects remain unchanged.

●Level 5- Dragon Breath;
The illusionist creates the effect of any spectacular attack type desired, with the same
range & damage (eg. Dragon breath or calls down a column of lightning). Other effects remain unchanged.

● Dragon Shadow; (Shadow Mantle) The caster becomes wreathed in coiling, shifting shadows which lash
out at anyone attacking the caster. Other effects remainunchanged.

Gods yes. Some more thought needed to go into those spells.
