Name the Iconics

Because the signal-to-noise ratio is too high...

D&D 3.5e had Regdar, Lidda, Mialee, Jozan, Krusk, among others. And who can forget Aleena or Morgan Ironwolf? Or Warduke, Strongheart, and Melf! Pathfinder has its own set of recognizable faces for the PC classes.

The C&C PHB doesn't illustrate every race and class, but they are distinctive enough that at one point IIRC TLG had some plastic minis cast.

Some guesses at their races and classes (4th printing). Mr. Thorne should of course feel free to chime in:

11: Dwarf Fighter
12: Human Ranger
15: Human Rogue
16: Half-Orc Assassin
19: Human Barbarian (3rd printing barbarian looked no less mad, more of a wild man of the woods)
21: Couple of guys fighting, no idea (3rd printing had a human monk breaking arrows, he is the more "iconic" to me)
22: Half-Elf? Wizard -- to me he is a truly C&C wizard; no beard, fancy robes, or pointy cap; looks like a wizard who works for a living.
23: Human Illusionist
25: Human Cleric -- she is a worthy successor to the dark haired twin of Aleena pictured in the red box.
26: Human? Druid
28: Half-Elf? Knight (and Horse)
30: Human Paladin
32: Human Bard

Missing are any elves, gnomes, or halflings from the class portraits unless I got them wrong (probably). The Bradley Gnome is pretty easy to spot, though. One might plunder the race section for further iconics.

Anyway, what would you name these guys? (Or write an angry rant about how you hate iconics and wish them to Gehenna).

Well, I can tell you that most of the class art came from characters from the Airhde setting.

The Dwarf is Dolgan.
The Wizard is Aristobulous (Mac Golden's character)
The cleric is Fyorgryn
The Paladin is St Luther.

As for the Ranger, he's one of mine. Geran Ashthorne, Ranger/Druid of about 9/12 level.

There's a wide frame picture of a girl with short black hair who's about to bust up a halfling. Those two are Jennifer, one of my 1E bards, and Andwyse a halfling ranger/thief

The knight is a fellow from the local ren faire I used as a model. The illusionist girl is also a model I use in a picture or two.

The young looking dude in the monk picture is one of my characters, goes by the name Jack Nimble. Folks are always asking him to jump over candlesticks for some reason? The previous monk character was also an Airhde iconic played by Mark Sandy.

Cool, I love that kind of stuff.
