Android Character Sheet

Post by alcyone »

Is anyone working on this? I have the Pocket Game Master, which handles some character information, but thinking of a full blown C&C specific app.

If not, I might take a stab at it.

Aergraith,

I hope you have liked PGM. Perhaps it can be made better for you. What other information are you missing for C&C characters?

Actually, I am still in the midst of testing it. On one of my devices (Huawei IDEOS S7) I was unable to enter information into the stat fields, but after messing around with my Captivate, I found I could after hitting EDIT, so wonder if I missed that.

It could well be that after editing the Campaign and the stat files it would be useful. Right now, of course, given the name, the layout is GM friendly. I'd like something player-centric, with all available space (definitely at a premium on my phone) to reflect things useful to a player playing C&C; I don't need feats or skills, I have multiple weapons to attack with and multiple pieces of armor, and I like to see the breakdown so when I level or get a bonus I can put it in the right place and not go back to my paper sheet to see how I got the number I have.

I can see there are things I can do with counters and the fields that are there, but, yeah, a C&C specific campaign setup and a player mode would be cool.

We are right now running a C&C campaign with a party of 3-4. It seems that every aspect of a C&C character is covered with the current Character Sheet and Campaign features in PGM. Even recording Prime attributes are in there. Players have cleverly morphed the Feats and Skills tabs and lists into Weapons and Armor. We are having a blast with it!

I will be adding a new feature soon associated with "AC" and "To Hit". When you press EDIT, then tap on them, a form will pop up allowing you to fill in where the bonuses come from, like "Enchantment", "Dodge", "Deflection", etc. Would this help?

Yes, I think that would be a nice feature. I've been playing with the app more tonight and I found that I could expand the character sheet to full screen, and that was really the biggest thing for me. The saves as they are at present aren't of use to me, nor the Feats and Skills tabs (though, what are you using them for in C&C?), but it does more than I thought it did, and probably meets my needs (except the need to do some hacking and write another android app :)
