HI-RES Trolllord Banner / DIY CK Screen

Hey all,

Probably only the trolls can answer my prayers here, but is there a Hi-Res version of the picture at the top of the Trolllord Game's new site? The one with the (looks like) hobbit fem trying to fast talk three trolls? What I really want to do is print an 11" * 34" (4 page wide) version on stock carboard. That would then my by CK Screen, and I could paperclip whatever rules I wanted to on the inside.

This would purely be for personal use.

Many thanks to all replies!

No there isnt. But you can always wait a couple weeks for the 'official' screen, with this art on it.

Are you kidding? Really? That's the best pic they've got of that banner? That seems hard to believe.

I'm aware. It's primarily my response to that art that prompted the post. Art really is a matter of taste and theme, and the banner on the website really says "adventure, caves, and monsters" to me more than the "official" screen's chosen art.

Hmmm. Something was wrong with the link so I decided to 'fix' it. Gideon, are these your personal collection of Gamer Babes? I want to be an artist so bad.

Nice fix PeelSeel!
I really should consider attending to those conventions... 8)

The picture on the homepage is actually an amalgam of several pictures. The center piece is from the M&T but the flanking colors were designed by the web designer to strecth the banner to the sites proper length.

I'm assuming that you don't like Peter's picture of the battling dragons for the screens? You would like it to be a little darker eh?

Interesting. I really like it, and I can't tell (based on the main page) that it's a stitch-job.

I wouldn't say I don't like Peter's picture on the official CK Screen, it's just that I like the main banner more. The dark greens and blues make me think of the dungeons, caves and dark forests that PC's wander. Also, dragons don't play a big role in my worlds, while humanoid monsters (like orcs and trolls) do. It's really just much more suited to my tastes and game style.

If I could make a suggestion, a hi-res version of that banner would be a great addition to the "Corporate Resources" section of the downloads page. Feel free to leave in the www.trolllord.com, I don't mind giving a shout-out to my favorite publisher

Ya know, once upon a time, in the AD&D days, the DM's screen also came with a 'players' screen. Perhaps something like that could be put together with the M&T cover art? I'll throw the idea at Steve and see if it sticks?

*chuckles* Well, as much as I would like to go to DragonCon, my model resources are a bit closer to home. I have a renaisance faire group 15 minutes from my house. All of which are incredibly narcisistic and who are really into gaming.

Sounds like a gaming artists dream.

Hey, anything that lets me put that website banner on a 3-or-4-panel piece of cardboard works for me. I usually end up paper-clipping my house rules & quest maps over whatever's written there, so it can be blank for all I care!

Awesome!

Hmmm, and then set up my screen on the other side? This has potential.

As I've said before...your screen, Traveller, looks great on the inside of my 2nd edition DM's screen. 8)
