Is there a specific mug/glass for your favourite beverage?

I drink a fair amount of coffee and tea and have very specific *mugs that I use. No one can touch these. I have plenty of other mugs you can happily use. What is easier? Just use a "friend" mug, or face the wrath of the coffee/tea police.

The other part is the familiarity of each mug. I don't know why it is but both these mugs just fit my hand/grip. Other mugs are just noticeably uncomfortable.

If I could find a smooth way to bring my own mugs to a function I would.

At work, yes, because I need one that holds more than the standard size mug and that can also sit on my mug warmer as I despise cold coffee.

At home, nope. I have numerous ones, some are thermos style, and others are all over the place. One, for example, holds two pots (16 cups) and I have two "java style" ones which I sometimes use (mostly for cold tea.) But, when I'm there I'll just use whatever one I find first.

I'm not Nazi-ish about it, but this my favorite coffee mug (a birthday present from my daughters).

No coffee, and only chai latte unless I'm drinking tea for caffeine purposes. I use any one of a number of chipped mugs from our wedding stoneware. Their 10 oz size keeps me from imbibing too much chai latte in a day while "only having one."

Yeah, for the record I don't even drink tea or coffee, but my wife and kids do.

I've often wondered if I have the mugs backwards. The tea should be the Winnie the Poo mug and Motörhead for the coffee.

I have a mug that looks like a mason jar (complete with threads on the top to screw on a lid) except that it has a handle. I used to kid my mother about how when I grew up I could just buy mason jars instead of a set of glasses, and she somehow found this jar with a handle. So cool.

We use mason jars for our non-hot beverages, and one is squared off with a handle.

I had one of those, but didn't make the move because it never felt right holding it. I think I ended up using it as a pencil/pen holder.
