I think the 300 film should have the tagline: "NOT a film for pussies." That movie looks so hard core.

The TF movie looks very cool and dark, and not so KIDDIE friendly. I was hoping that TF would not just be another Eregon... ehhh.

I can't believe they are making a Transformer movie. That so, effing rocks! I just hope it isn't a mish mash of the different versions of TF.

There's a few of movies I am looking forward too. 300, The Pathfinder, Transformers. I might go check out that Apocolypta and Eragon movie as well.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't get my hopes up for the transformers movie. I've been keeping tabs on it since the annoucement a year ago. Evidently, most of the transformers have their "alternate shape" changed.

ie. Soundwave is no longer a tape deck. Megatron is not a gun.

This is an effort to instill "realism" which to me, doesn't hold water since we're talking about alien robots from outer space here..... *rant off*

The Transformers movie is a bit different then the original cartoon series from the 80s.

HOWEVER, since that time there has been like 3-4 different Transformers series that have premiered on Cartoon Network. All of these series have a different look then the original that we fell in love with, hence the "boxy" look is gone, even from the new movie.

The director of TF, Michael Bay and the writers have been taking advice and suggestions from the fans, but know this, TF is Michael Bay's version of the story. Significant elements have been changed, and the look of the Autobots and decepticons are more like the recent versions of the cartoon series' rather then the original. According to many fans this gives the movie a more realistic and modern feel.

As for SOUNDWAVE, we know that he is in the movie but to my knowlege there has been no say on what his form will be whatsoever. Back in May or June 2006 information was leaked during filming that there is a predominat sceen in the TF movie where a "boombox is seen on board Airforce One with the Decepticon marking." This was reported extensively and if I'm not mistaken confirmed by a writer or producer.

Even if none of the movies are "deep" I think 2007 is going be a great year for entertaining movies.

Pathfinder

300

Grindhouse

Day Of The Dead

Spiderman 3

28 Weeks Later

Pirates Of The Caribbean - At Worlds End

Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer

Die Hard 4 - Live Free or Die Hard

Transformers

Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix

The Bourne Ultimatum

Rush Hour 3

30 Days Of Night

Beowulf

Well, at least this is a list of movies that I think will be very entertaining (I hope!)

Yes, very sweet. But I must tell you, there seems to be nothing historical about the upcoming film. Other then I heard that a few defended against many.

Hey, this was a thread about the 300....y'all are the ones who started interjecting your own drool-worthy flicks into the mix.

Oh! Don't forget the line "Their arrows will blot out the sun!!" "Well, it looks like we shall fight in the shade!"

Yeah, the film will not be historically accurate, but that is fine. It is the story of the extreme heroism that is the crux of the whole thing.

You know for sure I thought about posting TMNT in the list. After seeing the preview, I just can't get fully excited about the movie. The animation is a bit too "cartoony" for my tastes. I was hoping that the animation would be more along the TMNT series from 2000-2006 (not counting TMNT Fast Forward which is garbage).

Although the voice talent list for TMNT is impressive.

Yes, I am sorry for that, but there seemed to be a lot of neato flicks coming up on 07.

MORE TRAILER GOODNESS!
http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1809264218/trailer
GRINDHOUSE - Planet Terror / Death Proof

Total 70s goodness. Call it what it is, but Quentin Tarentino & Robert Rodriguez are amazing directors.
