Reorganizing Boards

Hey folks,

I'm thinking of reorganizing the boards with the idea of making C&C/settings/siege engine stuff more prevalent.

Anyone have any objections I should be aware of?

Could you put the C&CS forum in the News section so that it is more easily seen?

But that doesn't mean I"m not going to reorganize the boards, my discussion with Tree this morning made think of it as I could not readily find the HH forums.

In a side note we are about to do a whole bunch of redoing around here. Why? Because I like F$*#ing with Todd, Tim, Mark and Davis! And by extension! you guys!

But we are about to announce a new line and a reorganization of existing lines. To be very brief, we are going to use the C&C logo in a broader context. For instance we are eyeballing hardback versions of the AA material this winter. The title of the game will be Castles & Crusades Amazing Adventure. Starsiege gets a similar treatment: Castles & Crusades Starsiege. The reason for this is to bring more attention to these lines and to rope the whole family in under one roof. To be clear this won't affect the game themselves, its really a marketing move to help distributors and retailers know what they are getting.

Peter and I are throwing logo designs about already.

This same treatment carries over to the settings. Castles & Crusades Haunted Highlands Players Guide and so forth.

The timing is perfect, because frankly we are running out of PHs, CKGs, MTs, Tainted Lands, and have only 4 StarSiege left as of last count. So next year we are looking at another round of printings. And the release of the not announced yet Borderlands.

So that brings me full circle to the boards. I would like to more prominently display C&C. as is its buried under general. and if all RPG titles are going to fall under C&C then it only makes sense to bunch them all together. and HH is really buried down yanders.

But if its going to make hanging on the boards a nightmare I'll do it very slowly or not at all, as this is your home as well.

I vote for the reformat. The setting forums need to be placed together and I feel we need separate forums for StarSIEGE, Harvesters, Fields of Battle and other SIEGE based games. Some would say that there is not enough traffic for this but with the reorganization of the brands this could make others aware of the games and drive awareness. As I mentioned before the C&CS forum needs to be more prominent and the other games forum could go away if there becomes separate forums for other SIEGE games.

All news moved up to the top.
