I'm a long time fan of Coast to Coast AM and felt that the best years was when Art Bell had the show. I have really missed hearing Art on the show and have always hoped he would come back to full-time hosting. Well, Art is coming back on Indie XL through Sirius. His new show, Art Bell's Dark matter, will be hosted from his home studio just as his old shows were.

Sadly I don't get Sirius but I am sure the shows will be available just like the current C2C shows are. I am definitely looking forward to Art's return and want to just say, welcome back!!

We used to listen to Art when we did overnight projects at work - kept us entertained at least.

Note I tried asking him this question through email but never got an answer: "If psychics are real, how come not one of the "psychics" you know warned you that your son was going to get kidnapped?" (His son was grabbed by one of his teachers back in 2000 or so).

Cool! Now I just need to pay for Sirius. Was on his show a couple times ~10 years ago. Real nice guy.

BTW, youtube has a lot of his old shows posted and since the C2C insider keeps taking them off it is a good place to find them.

His radio show. I was doing different news TV & radio back them all the time. All I remember was that it was at night.

My Corp. Comm person has them all filed on disks in storage somewhere. I'm just glad he's coming back. He isn't afraid to tackle unconventional subjects. I wonder if he'll have his new stuff for streaming or download if even after the fact on delay?

Well, I did word it much "softer" than I did here, a tact you may want to learn yourself - not to mention my question pretty much "proves" that psychics are frauds as are those that promote them.

I would say yes considering that many shows make money on clubs like C2C insider or selling streams. And yes, his coming back is a great thing. There may be some that poo-poo at such subjects, but I keep the possibility open because it is rather arrogant to think we know everything about the universe and dismiss things out of hand.

Well, when you're in the business of promoting complete falsehoods, you deserve what you get (and again it wasn't "that bad"- I was asking about the falsehoods not laughing at his sons ordeal). You guys probably think we were too hard on Joseph Goebbels.

The first week's guests are a who's who of Art's past shows. We have Michio Kaku, Dr. Stephen Greer, Johnathan Reed, and Richard C. Hoagland. I am hoping he will get an EVP show soon with the GIS as those were some nice and creepy shows.

Hey, guys. I have no authority or any power on these forums, but I bet Stephen wouldn't be pleased to see what part of this discussion has devolved into (no matter who's at fault). I like good discussions, including politics, but it becomes evident why much of it isn't allowed. No stabs here, but these forums are one of the faces of C&C. I brag to con customers about these forums, and the helpful people. Love you, guys. Just saying.

The first two shows were great. Even though I am not a big fan of Dr. Greer, Art kept him on track and didn't let him veer off too much. It looks like he is going to do open lines every show and he is going back to no call screening. It really felt like the classic C2C. I forgot how much I missed how Art ran things.

Interestingly enough, the old Coastgab forum has now renamed itself Bellgab and is focusing on Dark Matter.

I get what you're saying. I just said what I felt was needed and pretty much ignored the rest. Besides, I have seen Steve and Davis say far worse things to those that were trying to stir things up. The old forums and, before the redesign, this one got pretty wild at times. We've all calmed down but are still prone to calling out people acting like jerks. Hell, I've had to be called out a time or two for getting too excited.


P.S. I do miss the double bird-flying smiley we used to have. . .

(I know I said I'm "bowing out", but saw this so thought I should respond).

I was the one that took this subject "off topic" and apologize for that - not the other guys fault for "defending their turf".

I have been listening to the show and have to say I am impressed. Art is back on form and Sirius is working with him to make the show better. He has also shown his usual firmness with guests and have not let them run over him. Most impressive was when he got into a heated discussion with Richard C. Hoagland over his claims. The two showed quite a bit of class in that debate.

Art also had a guest on that did not have it together and he terminated the interview but had good things to say since the guest was a novice and enthusiastic about his subject. I'm looking forward to Monday when the GIS is back on and will more than likely have a nice batch of EVPs for us.

In a nutshell I like the show and it is what Coast to Coast used to be. In fact, I haven't listened to C2C since Dark Matter started. I have good feelings about the show.

Capmarvel: No worries, we each have our own opinions and views on things. I don't believe everything that comes on either C2C or DM. I just have an interest in many of the subjects and have found Art to be one of the best hosts of shows dealing with this material.

Cap, it's all good. I was just concerned about the forum's image.
