Hey Trolls, I am trying to track down a full version of the S&S rules. I have the Basic Rules Excerpt found in the back of the 2000 version of The Mortality of Green. However, I can't find any other version. Help a brother out.

Funny you should bring this up. I've been scouring old disks looking for some key Erde files for the After Winter Dark book coming out soon. Davis wandered by and then we began looking for the follow on to Bergholt I. This was an 80 page doc that I cut out of the original Bergholt. We had planned it to be an 80 page book. In typical Davis fashion he turned over 160 pages. So we split it and turned it into two books. The second book was called Beneath the Black Moon or some such.

But at any rate that search led to a host of Monsters I developed for Erde back in 2001 but never published and then on to the Blood Runes book taht was supposed to follow the d20 book Winter Runes.

Welllll taht made davis' brain fart and he asked where all the S&S rules were he wrote (these were developed after the original publication by Davis). We are still searching for these.....

Its been an interesting night....
But we'll see what we can turn up. We would love to publish them in a freebee format or some such.

Steve

Now that would be cool as sheet. Hope you find them then.

Don't you still have the 12 page document? I remember it being discussed back in the day... something about how all one needs to play a game can be fit under 20 pages...

I remember seeing the notes in the back of The Fantastic Adventure. It seemed to be a precursor to C&C when I first glanced at it!

I think it would be *really* cool if this (the Sword & Sorcery document) was released as a PDF.

Well, since Steve mentioned putting S&S up as a freebie, if someone else had it and, with the Trolls permission, could post it or a link.

Yeah, I've got the first dozen or so pages of S&S already scanned and OCR-ed from Fantastic Adventure but from the above it sounds incomplete.

Well, it was partially compiled. Like much of our material before becoming a busniess, it is spread out from one end of the world to the next. Steve has opined and suggested we get it all together and see what we got. I know we have a workable system (it was printed in the first four mods we produced) and a gajillion rules that go with it. However, I should comment that it is a mish mash slaughterhouse of rules that wold need work if the whole system were to be presented - and cold take years.

Nevertheless, there is some short version somewhere. If nothing else we could just pull out an old module, copy it etc etc etc.

Well, Davis; I've already got the 12 pgr scanned and corrected. If you'd like a copy of it to use for this just let me know (and in what format) and I'll shoot it over. Might save someone having to type it all out!

I'd love to see these to compare them to what C&C is.

Trolls wanted to receive it first; then they are giving it over to legal; then said person has to receive email from Troll's telling him it is all right to post. It is effectively dead

Heheh. Its effectively in limbo as Steve is at LGGC, and as he's the one who ultimately says "go for it," one must wait until he's at least back. However, its possible sieg (who's also at LGGC) can corner Steve and get an answer more directly...
