Gen Con is my dream. I don't know if I'll ever be able to go.

I brought it up with the fiance, and she shot it down. I don't know how I ended up with a girly girl. When all I ever like to do is game.

I guess I have to go with the boys. But me friends always do things so last minute and it always gets so messy.

Just go by yourself and meet up with us. I know how you feel, I would love to go to GenCon with my wife. However, with her heart condition the safest ways for her to travel are by car or train. So we would be looking at 3 to 4 days travel each way.

So I go with my daughter. Maybe even my sons this year.

GenCon is one thing that doesn't work so good last minute, especially if you need a place to sleep. Registration (and therefore close rooms to the con) start up on Feb 10 I believe.

It's cool. But I just might take you up on that offer Treebore. I would do anything... "and I mean ANYthing".. (lol jk) for a CKG and those collector's boxes.

I'm still hoping for that 'canuck special' I hinted at!

Wow! I'm making plans to go to GenCon then. Didn't go last year and didn't really miss it, but I know I'll want to get my hands on any new C&C items that are available.

Might take my son again this year. He'll be 6 1/2 at that time. He loved it when we went 2 years ago, but he is now old enough to start playing a few games with Dad. We are talking about trying a little C&C this winter or spring....

I was geeked for this product about, say 52 years ago. Now, not so much. I'll probably pick it up at some point if I can find it locally on an impulse purchase, but it's not on my must haves anymore. This always happens when I wait longer than an elephants gestation period for a product. I was fired up for Bard's Gate and City of Brass from Necro. Now I could care less.

I'm building quit a list for GenCon 07 purchases:

Castle Zagyg boxed set pt. 1

CKG

Tegal Manor

City of Brass/1,001 Efreeti Nights boxed set.

Thats already going to be over $150.00 and I have no idea what Goodman Games is doing for GenCon, or anyone else for that matter.

Going to be a great GenCon.

Treebore, it seems as if we'll be spending our hard-earned money at the same GenCon booths this year. That's my exact shopping list too! Heh. 8)

Good taste and all that.

Fairview is close to Parma? Just asking becuase my grand parents lived in Parma when I was young, and I spent a lot of time over there.

Yes, Parma is a 10 minute drive from me.

A few other things that I'm going to add to the list (hate me later) is Erik Mona, et al's Expedition to Castle Greyhawk. My curiosity must be sated. As well as the WH40KRPG.

I'm looking forward to all Tree's listed items and a few more, to boot. Namely the revival of JG:

First up, Thieves of Badabaskor - due any week now, AFAIK.

Hopefully James Mishler's stuff will start appearing, too.

Good point. Let's all pray together that JM will get some WoHF out by GenCon this year.

Word on the WOTC Greyhawk. As we all said in the other thread, I gotta look. Can't have enough epic dungeons.

Damn right. I can't believe that some people say that dungeons are passe'. Still a good 'crawl is the backbone of an action, thrill-packed campaign IMHO. We freakin' love them!!!

In my case, I freakin' love them. I need to switch between Dungeons and Overland once in a while to keep my ADD in check. :p

In all seriousness, I think you need a Dungeon once in a while but leave it up to the PCs to see if they want to check it out. If they don't just recycle it for the next dungeon they want to go into. They aren't any wiser. muahaha

Very true. One entrance to Unspeakable Things in the Depths of the Earth is much like another. If you don't get 'em this time, get 'em the next.
