Heads up.

DF began their second KS this morning, for caverns in Dwarvenite.

Already broke 600k, and stretch goals are getting knocked out.

Didn't see a thread about it here, so I figured I would share, make sure none of my fellow Crusaders missed out.

Link here.

Mighty useful stuff, lemme tell ya. :)

Saw the promo for this on enworld earlier. Pretty high quality stuff.

Bastards! They took enough of my money last time!

I couldn't pull the trigger on their last KS, and this time is no different.

With the quality, cost and versatility of papercrafting terrain, I just don't see myself making the switch.

I've backed the past two Fat Dragon Games KS projects, and also have some World Works Games terrain.

I've often thought about picking up some Hirst Arts molds, but haven't found anyone to split the cost.

Yeah, thats how I am hoping to control myself this time around. I just have to remember how much easier it is to store and use FD terrain, and how much more of it I can print out for my money. Plus with FD, I get fully 3-D buildings, etc...

I thought, long and hard, about buying a ton of HA molds, and doing it all myself. I was **THIS** close to pulling the trigger on a fairly sizable investment on it when I found out about the first DF KS, and I chose to go with that, instead, mainly because I had already been playing with someone else's DF collection for years, and knew them to be really top notch.

I have been painting the 5 sets + AddOns from the first Kickstarter for about 4 months now. I can safely say, almost being at the end, that if I had chosen to go with HA, I would have never completed it.

Painting alone takes a while. Casting, sanding, gluing, and painting takes way longer.

With my own experience, I chose to back the Caverns at a painted level this time around, vs. doing them myself. I have about a million miniatures I want to get painted up, and don't want to take another 3-4 months away from doing so, just working on terrain.

With that all being said, it's all about personal preference. I use props from MANY different companies, have even done a couple of scratchbuilt things myself.

All of them work well. I'm all for people using what works for them. :)

Last 4 hours. Get in now if you were on the fence, and I promise, this will be the last post I make regarding this.

Now...what's up with the next C&C KS, HMM??? :)

The "CORE Kickstarter" is all I have heard. So presumably they are going to try and get the funding for all 3 "core" books at the same time. Presumably the PH, M&T and CKG.

I took one last look to be sure. Yeah, my money would be much better spent on Fat Dragon stuff. If I was rich enough to just throw that kind of money at anything I wanted, I'd absolutely buy it. But this is just too much for something like this. Besides, I've been moving away from even using physical stuff, and just hooking my computer up to my 46 Inch TV and using Maptools or Roll 20 for our mapping and token needs. We still roll our physical dice.
