Howdy, y'all!
Say, does anyone have this book yet?
If so, how do you like it?
Thanks,
Rhu.

I quite like it. The book does a good job at balancing the flavor of the setting with basic C&C-isms (i.e., it feels like a Norse setting without being limiting to the game).
It’s got a really nice, extensive introductory setting, which covers the culture, religion, and legends. I’ve certainly got more detailed lore on my book shelves, but as far as putting it all together in one place, I’d say it’s one of the best.

Great comment, fully agree.

Thanks for the info.
Incidentally, how much is the book?
I can't see to find it on TLG's site.
Is it me, or is their main site getting worse?
Links are weird, crap or dead ends.
Thanks.
Rhu.

Thanks. I think the TLG admin f-up the link. I can't get there now. It just mentions the sale, but I can't navigate to any products. I'll check back later.

Got this in the mail - totally excellent.
When I first heard about the Trolls releasing this, I had mixed feelings ~ wanting it but thinking no, I have so many Norse Mythology and Viking books.
But, I'm glad I purchased the book. Really well put together. Lots of idea generators and other cool stuff.
I recommend this book to all Crusaders and not just cause I'm a direct descendant of
Þórr and Sif!

Heh, I guess we're related then. On the one side my family traces back to King Hrolf / Rollo, who claimed to be descended from Odin.

About 70% of us are related to some degree.

And those who believe in the Christian Bible would tell you we are all 100% related if you go back far enough.

If Mitochondrial DNA is to be believed, we all go back to the same woman. So yes, we are all related to some degree, regardless of skin color, etc...
Just think, we are all descended from some seriously inbred people. Which would explain a lot.

Hello cuz!
I have records on my grandmother's side going back to 1340 in Sweden ~ Ostersund, north of Stockholm!
Great grandfather is from Norrkoping, south of Stockholm
Other side, grandfather's mother is Norwegian - Trondheim ~ and granfather's father is Swedish, but not sure where from.
Time to head back to the Motherland to check church records (I know much can be checked here, but there, it's way faster and easier).
Skal!!

Well, unless you are a descendant of the people of Nod.

I was going to ignore that for the sake of the joke.
