i couldent wait so i bought monsters and treasures. Now I am trying hard to think of some motivations and such for adventures. What works for your group? what have you done in the past? where do you find ideas for campaigns? its been a long time since I have ran my own D&D game and I am looking forward to C&C , but now i have to find a place to start.

Start with the free adventure downloads on the trolllord.com website. I'll see if I can put links in here for you.

Also buy Assault on Blacktooth Ridge and Slaag Heap. They are meant for the world of Erde and I can send you some legal pdf's to give you even more background and a nice map.

there are also a number of good modules, even one for C&C, over at the Dragonsfoot website for free. All written for 1E or 2E so very easy to use for C&C.

Hit Dice=Base to Hit

Armor=AC 10 plus their AC counted down from 10. So AC (-6) would be a 16 added to 10=26 AC in C&C. (counting from 10 down to -6 gives you the 16).

These modules (Troll modules, "A" series) should get everyone going, especially you, with all kinds of ideas that you can just expound upon.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Here is the stuff from the Trolls website. If it looks good to you and feel motivated by it let me know and I'll send you other important info, legally.

Download the adventures, the area map, and the character sheet (its the same one from the PH).

C&C is also very easily run "off the cuff" as it stands. My last sessions were run with no real adventure written and ran just fine. Inspirations come from a variety of sources for me, books, TV, movies and once a painting I saw online. The main thing is having fun more than anything. As long as you have fun you've done it right.

blackridge sounds cool and I like the dragonsfoot website. I do however want to get back into creating my own games again. I think I might read some of the modules and try to remember how it was done.

I use modules as a springboard. It gets things going and then I take it in whatever direction it goes. Even if it means ignoring the rest of the module.

Ditto. Then make it into a mod.
