Chronicles of Scandia by Gaston the Bard.

Book 1:

In Search of the Silver Dragon.

As told to Count Rhuveinus by his grandfather the alchemist and 7th Earl of Franqueforte, Maurice Henri, Esq.

In the year of Thor 277, peace and prosperity reigned over the lands. Humans, elves, halflings, and dwarves prospered and lived together in harmony. Evil creatures were subdued, driven out or left to their own devices and families could live and thrive without fear. The Gods of good had dominion over those of evil and all was well for a millennia.

That was until a foggy darkness seemed to arise from across the eastern sea. A white dragon began to appear in the skies over Trondheim. No man could recall seeing any dragons from long ago, let alone a white one ~ flying the sky above.

Panic set in and then chaos. Clerics were uncertain, wizards seriously concerned, warriors unduly grave but only the bards seemed to continue as though nothing had changed in the world.

And why not? If the bards were gnomes, then no explanation is necessary, eh?

And if Gaston were a gnomish bard lord and intimate of an ancient and powerful Silver Dragon who alerted him to the presence of a white dragon. What then?

Well, you shall know of the “what then”!

Gaston is a great story teller and did indeed live and befriend the great Silver Dragon, Lord Argenteus who saved the world of mankind. And since gnomes are ancient creatures, who then would be better to tell the tales of dragons and men?

. . .

Fountain's Abbey in the Skye Mountain Range
Lady Olivia, daughter of King Magnus Larsson captured and held
Jarl's Rift
The Lady Welljean
Helsingborg
Yeti
Hamlet of Tronheim
The Dancing Goats Inn
Codex Argenteus

and more.

An original C&C adventure module in progress . .

Just completed a small and low level dungeon as part of the beginning of the module.

The friar of Fountain's Abbey has put out a call for adventurers at the Hamlet of Trondheim as well as the Dancing Goat's Inn which is further north on the trail to the abbey.

Expedition to the Ice Crystal Grotto!

Might be looking for play testers, if anyone is interested. Short session or 2 via SKYPE and Maptools.

Various Lords, Dames, Kings & Queens of:

Elves
Gnomes
Amazons
Gold Dragons
Mer men& maids
Humans
Dwarves
Robots of Aurora
Hobbits

Plaintiff:
His Royal Majesty, the High Prince Silvernius of the Silver Dragons.
Griswald Clark, dwarf jester/magician for the plaintiff.

Defendant:
His Royal Majesty, the High Prince Argenteus of the Silver Dragons.
Laroo Spugnar, gnome wizard/sage for the defense.

Issue before the High Court:

Whether or not Prince Silvernius has the royal authority to assume the kingship of the Silver Dragons – based on the Codex Silvernius or should Prince Argenteus prevail based on the ancient but irrefutable Codex Argenteus handed down through the ages in his family.

During the discovery phase of pre-trial it was determined that several pages of the Codex of Argenteus were not original and that somehow, forgeries with inaccurate information were placed in their stead, thus rendering the document refutable!

Master Spugnar asked for a continuance of the case, as he explained to the Chief Justice that other copies of the Codex are hidden throughout the realm. And that he would procure one for the next session of the high court.

Justice Manniska, granted the request and the session was adjourned.

I'm in for this Sunday, but if it runs consecutive Sundays it's up against Nate's game so I can't commit to that.
