Early onset Alzheimer's. Nasty. RIP.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

A real loss, no doubt. Capable of wonderful humor and profundity. My favorite stories of his were the ones with dwarves, of course. I loved that no matter how comedic it got, there was still this underlying respect for his characters.

Sad news. Leonard Nimoy, Harve Bennett (producer Star Trek movies/Six Million Dollar Man and Bionic Woman), and Terry Pratchett.
