This is gonna be a major release, can't wait for it!!
Trollzah!!
Well, I doubt they are going to map out the whole thing, it is an underground city after all, but the more they do, the happier I will be.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Oh, city . . rather than dungeon? Didn't know that. Very interesting!
When Davis described it to me, it reminded me a good bit of the underground drow city in the Queen of the Demonweb Pits series. So combo of city areas and dungeon tunnel type areas, etc...

My talk with Davis was at a Troll Con, so 4 or 5 years ago, and he was expecting it to be a big boxed set back then. After all this time it better be big.

Who knows if it would be a boxed set now. I believe they've all but gotten away from the boxed set model (except for the recent black box). I suppose they could make an exception for Aufstrag, but I'm betting on something along the lines of the Haunted Highlands CK hardcover.
I'm with you, Rhu. I'd probably want both. That said, I think Stephen or somebody may have mentioned something (a couple of years back) about getting away from the boxed sets. Let's face it, Fields of Battle, Tainted Lands, and Towers of Adventure are/or will be softcover books now. They used to be boxed sets.
I can see doing Tainted Lands and Towers of Adventure as book, but Fields of Battle is far cooler as a boxed set. With all the maps I am thinking Aufstrag will require, they will need to do a boxed set or a map pack of some kind, just it better not be tiny maps forced to fit inside of a book format.

Actually, I'm curious about Tainted Lands. They have to include that Lolly Gag (20 pages) adventure in the book, as well as those other character sheets for witch, and some of the other specialty classes. It'll be interesting to see if they do that. Tree, I agree about Fields of Battle. I like it in a boxed set. The new softcover doesn't include the blank unit sheet, and it would be nice to have cardstock cut outs of the monsters from the old set, perhaps even more. I'd still like to see pdf's for sale (rpgnow, etc.) of cardstock monsters w/stats. Maybe even some more battle scenarios.
