ENWorld ENNIE's
ENWorld ENNIE's
I am putting myself in for being a judge. There will be a total of 5 judges "elected" through a voting process.
What these judges do is review all the products and websites and pdf's submitted for the ENNIE awards, which are given a award at GenCon.
The judges basically work together to wittle down the products to what they can agree are the 5 best in each category. Then fans vote on them to determine who deserves First and Second place nods as "Fan Favorites".
It is not all about 3E, even though it predominantly is.
Anyways, whether or not you pay attention to ENWorld, I would like the board members here to pay attention to the ENNIE awards and to participate in the various voting that will be going on.
They are presumeably making a push to not be so "centered" on 3E and participation by people here can help make that happen.
If you do vote for the judges I am listed as Treebore if I sound like someone you want as a judge. There will be a "Bio" to help you decide which 5 nominees you would like to represent you.
I'll post links here to keep you guys/ladies up to date so you can easily participate if you wish to.
Thanks.

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

I no longer believe these things have any merit, and so, do not support, or care, for them. That is my personal opinion, and does not reflect anyone other than me... and, anyway, if you wanna do it, I say go for it.
Well, all I can say is a lot of the publishers believe it has merit. Irregardless, do I have your vote?

Well, I'm certainly not a huge fan of the ENNIES. But if there is change in the air and Treebore you promise to keep an open eye on all released products, then you have my vote as well sir.

I will be looking at all products submitted. If the Trolls submit C&C material I'l even get to look at it.
The 5 of us who become the judges are told to expect to have to judge 100's of various products.
So I'll be (if I become a judge) evaluating whatever is submitted, with an eye towards which products are the best based on the criteria given.
Past judges have said it is hard to do in many of the categories. To the point where they created "Honorable Mention" to let publishers know they came "this close" to being in the final 5 products for their category.
So every judge will be "keeping their eyes open" toward every product submitted for the award. I'll just be extra good at it.
