This' old news, but it still irks me that:

'Gamer', now refers to computer video game people...

and 'RPGs', now refer to video games.

We are left with the term 'table top gamer', which implies board games or miniature war games.

Yea, our identity hath no label anymore.

Could we perhaps come up with new term for this hobby then, since the old ones have long been appropriated?

When people make the assumption that I play computer RPGs, I tell them "No, I play *real* games." :-)

P&P RPGers. Paper and pencil RPGs. Real gamers use polyhedral dice.

As a person who plays and collects both types, what irks me is when a game like Mario Tennis is called a RPG because it dares have XP and improvements... much less "achievements." Bollocks and hair socks.

Maybe start a counter title and call the computer gamers "Pseudo-Gamers". LOL as opposed to the True Gamers and grognards. :P
