I have to waste my time and gas getting there, just to find out I'm not working that day.

Well, it happened this past weekend. My client was sent away for at least a week. So, I'm only working if another TSS calls off, which means, I'm probably not working this week.

Somedays I really hate my job.

Steve & Co, I've been gaming off and on for 20 years, and C&C is the best FRPG I've seen since 1st edition. I tried to run it at a con in September but couldn't get any players because no one had heard of it. My number one gaming hope is that I have the means to purchase the Castle Keeper's Guide when it comes out. C&C is clearly made for fans by fans, and it shows on these blogs and in the quality of your products. Thanks, and keep it up!

If folks have questions I'll be glad to answer them.

What does steve WANT to work on:

C&C Basic

C&C The Adventurer's Back

What does Steve get to work on: neither of those.

What will C&C The Adventurer's Back be? I haven't read much about this one. Thanks.

I think he meant Adventurer's Backpack. It was originally a work on creating classes, modifying existing ones, and generally turning the core archetypes into whatever you want them to be, plus options for advancement schema and so forth. I thought it was Davis's project, though.

I did a bit of work on Aihrde yesterday actually. I wrote up a new monster, the Naerlulth, a beast of Unklar's making. And of course, with my normal write ups came a wedge of Aihrdian background.

Shades of Mist forced me to flesh out the whole of the Darkenfold and swaths of the Soup March and Bay of Brund. You will soon be presented with a full map of the region from the Goose Neck to Petersborough in the north and Elne in the wast. That book should be wrapped up next week, map might take a bit longer.

We are also working the Brown Box for Gencon that will be Aihrde map, short adventures and background.

The Adventurer's Backpack

Post by Troll Lord »

The AB still has to be fleshed out. It is largely my project. What Robert is referring too was an early concept but I abandoned that. The idea behind this book is to bring more playing material to the players. There will be expanded equipment lists with pictures, unusual items, new spells and the like. Class expansion material will be limited to things like role playing the existing classes differently.

But it is really in the nascent stages. We have considered off and on with changing the title of the the CKG to the Adventurer's Backpack, but that was early on before both books took more defined shape in Davis' and my head.

What Deogolf is referring to is Harvesters, a Siege engine game for Youngsters. It will be placed in line soon with Victorious and another game we are negotiating for. These will be finalized in the schedule in next month or so. All are in the Siege engine line, designed and laid out like StarSiege.

Well, actually - Wheat Hollow: The Harvesters. Don't let those cute little rabbits and squirrels fool you! They're dyn-o-mite!!!
Might even make it's debut at LGGC IV - any takers?

Hey Steve,

I sent an e-mail with some info for LGGC and a few questions but it got bumped back to me as "cannot be delivered at this time."

The first was to ask to list my game for LGGC:
Game: C&C

Title: "A Nightmare Before Dying"

(For 5th to 6th level characters, set in the Toten Fields)

CK: John "seskis281" Wright

Time: Saturday Morning

Participants: Up to 8 or 9 Players

The second was - it's been some months since you sent word that you had received my submissions for Crusader (the two one-shot adventures)... I know that was just before Gary's passing and with how crazy things must have been, I just wondered did they get lost in the shuffle and do I need to re-submit to Jim Ward at the email now listed?

Third and finally, I'd mentioned elsewhere and in a message I left that some friends who own a video production company are coming to LGGC and have some ideas for creating some You Tube promotions they'd like to pitch -- they aren't coming expecting anything other than the chance to meet and talk a bit, and to show what they might be able to do (they also are gamers and plan on enjoying the con!)

Anyway, sorry to hijack the thread to ask questions, but your email seems a bit packed lol.

P.S. Thanks for the Updates! I have my wallet ready for so much this summer!

John,

No hijacking at all. I have your phone number written down with a note to call you about the you tube stuff. I'll probably do that next week. As for the adventure I've not looked at it yet, but now that Jim is on board that's his job! hahaa Thanks for reminding me, I"ll send it on to him.

I'll get your game listed on the site as well! It will probably be Sunday night.

Society announcement soon. We need to clean up the website and get some Crusader space ready for it.

I have just noticed that I'm way behind in our new product announcements. I'll work on bringing that material up to date tonight as we do website work and general updates.
