C&C dragons coming to a local village near you!

Post by Tadhg »

Well I got some more dragons for Christmas/Hanukkah and thought I'd pull out my collection for some display pics and to get ideas for future use. Here are some pics (yeah, I do need to work on my photo skills):

Gargantuan Black Dragon and his nephew:

Dragon collection

Group shot (and I didn't have my large gold dragon for this grouping - as I gave it to my nephew - before realizing the thing is worth a load of cash to collectors):

Are those D&D's line of dragons? Also, what are those hex tiles under the building at the right side of the table? Never saw those before, however they look pretty neat.

Yeah the tiles are from the Heroscape starter game and I thought I could make use of them for some of my game scenarios. And it comes with some nice looking figures and one nice dragon (the copper one on the left in the group).

Most of the others are wotc. One is a heroclix Cthulhu (middle) and the large green on the right is something I picked up from Target as he looked very well detailed.

Nice collection.

Characters in your world must "see" alot of Dragons. (CK Intimidation? Play nice, or... ).

Thanks.

No not yet, our group has only had a "close encounter" where a medium black spotted them atop Blacktooth Ridge, but was chased off by a cloud giant in his chariot pulled by huge lions!
But, as the group is now at level 3, I think they are ready for a dragon's fire breath baptism as it were (be nice to smoke some wizard's eyebrows and dwarve's beards)!
Been looking at the M&T, and have loads of ideas.

Neat, but I like the buildings more. Not a fan of the WotC plastics. Now, Citadel on the other hand.... they make good tuff, but its expensive. Just bought a Warhammer starter box so I can have the 50+ goblins.

Heh, Cthulhu would blow the away!!
Heroscape is very excellent IMO.

I had bought the game thinking to play it in between C&C games with my nephews, but I realized that I didn't want to confuse them with another game/rules. So I haven't shown them the game yet.

But I think the tiles would be perfect for skirmishing (we do the D&D mini skirmishing sometimes, but using C&C rules) or scenario map situations.

There are several very interesting add ons that really enhance the experience and look and feel of the landscape.

Yep, I know you do and have used several of them. I really like them too and have yet to finish many more of them. There are so many interesting buildings in the set and many you can download free that it's a worthwhile undertaking to set up a scene with them.

I haven't yet begun to use some of the road/trail tiles either. They look great too.

With the castle towers and walls, I'm hoping to finally create the Baron's Keep in Botkinburg!
