Dreaming of a.....White Easter?!?!

Post by DangerDwarf »

Since moving to east Texas in '94, I have to say I've seen sleet, freezing rain, hail, quick little flurries, etc. But I have never seen big fat snowflakes here.......... in April none-the-less!!!!!!!!!!!!

It would be cool if I didn't have to work tonight, because right now all I can think about is how many extra officers I'm going to have call in because of the snow.

I'm watching the White Sox play in conditions I expect to see during the World Series or Late Football season not during the opening of baseball season.

I think the snowshoe hare bunnies will deliver the eggs here.

Sh*T. I'll only say - cold weather, snow, high gas prices for Passover/Easter/Spring . . . REALLY SUCK!!!

Dagnabit, seriously. If gas would go back down to $2.25 or less, I wouldn't care if we got 10 ft of friggin' snow.
Hmm, might be time for a Vespa.

The Day After Tomorrow could have been cool, but it needed to be longer, with a bit more story, less CGI and less "action."

For anybody who WANTS more snow, come get this white crap outta here. My GD daffodils have been flat out murdered by this fracking weather.

More heavy snow flurries today, but I'll not complained - compared to what Omote and some of you got this last weekend!

Actually, global warming causes the jet stream to be altered and disrupts the normal flow of air over the Atlantic, causing cooler temperatures in eastern North America and western Europe. The normal circulation transforms to areas of still air as well. At least that is what they said on Discovery Science, I am no expert at all in this field, but the show was pretty scary and it looks like this is what is happening. Not to boast, but I am out in the Pacific Northwest and the weather was beautiful yesterday (it usually rains on Easter, always).

You guys are the ones in the snow, in the eastern states, out of season, not me. If anything the plight of the snowbound leads credence to the global warming theory.

If you'll pardon me, I must be off to polish up my guns as I believe this is the cue that the invading armies from China and Russia are using to launch their attack, or so I heard from a reliable source.

The snow that fell this afternoon was very weird. It was neither hail, sleet or snow. It was snow blobs/balls that felt quickly and bounced when they hit they hit the sidewalk, but came down again and began to melt!
Something is afoot in the atmosphere, friends.

When the snowballs fall and frogs jump out, I'll worry. Until then, I'm content to let the snow eat a hole through my palette as I try to taste the various smog-related flavors. ;) Yum yum.

Right -- if it's warm, it's because of global warming.

If it's cold, it's because of global warming.

If it's dry, it's because of global warming.

If it snows, it's because of global warming.

Well, the point of the program on global warming was that not everything warms up immediately. Therefore your post, while sarcastic, is also accurate, as the effects of the altered jetstream disrupt parts of the planet in different ways. I am not trying to be a downer, I am just reporting a scientific theory and how it relates to a few people getting snow.

That's funny, because I saw a Manbearpig using seal tusks to kill caribou just two days ago. It was muttering about needing oil to power its home in Tennessee.
