PHB3

Post by Omote »

According to the TLG homepage, the 3rd printing of the PHB is on it's way! Even though I have a copy of the 1st and 2nd printing, I'm still excited about another edition whivh is even mo' betta then the last.

Some errata was addressed, as well as corrections/modifications to the assassin's poison chart.

However, one point that wasn't addresses in the link above was the slight alteration of the cover to the book. I remember back in January or February gideon_thorne mentioned that there was going to be a slightly different cover. I think, we now get to see what that cover will look like.

From my PC it's kind of hard to tell, but it looks like the background map was softened while the tan color is a bit deeper. I definitely like the color choice a lot! It makes the book look a bit more striking and will cath more attention for sure.

Just my two sheckles.

Woot! I'll be getting one, despite having the 1st and 2nd prints, as well. I'm very interested in the 2nd print of M&T, but that's just self-edification.

I believe the M&T 2nd print is still in June, like the 3rd printing of the PH was originally planned, before they sold out last month and decided to move up the print date of the PH.

So I believe June is when we can get the M&T second printing. OR at least that is when it goes to CHina for printing.

TLG sends it's stuff to China for printing? Not last I heard. I seem to recall Steve saying that they have a really good printer near them that they have delt with for a while.

I know Necro and some other publishers print out of China though...

Yeah it can't be from China, DB3 Deeper Darkness went off to press and to stores in under a month, maybe even like 3 weeks. That would be one hell of a China turn around time.

Your right. They print in the USA. So then we don't have to worry about slow boats to China.

Just Trolls.

ALright Danger dwarf!!! hahaha

We print all of our books in the USA. We'll start accrediting the printers on the back of the books starting with the 3rd printing.

We've also jazzed up the logo a bit and made it more readable.

Peter? Couldyou post it here for folks to see.

Hmm, I could probably use another PH, so I'll most likely pick up a 3rd print!

I'm glad that it's getting a third printing. I think that bodes well for C&C.

I have to say that I don't care for the darker color personally, though admittedly it may appear different in person than it does online. That's a minor quibble, though.

I already bought a 1st printing (which I gave to a friend) and a 2nd printing (for the wonderful new layout). Glad to see it on a 3rd printing, and I hope it goes on to see even more as more people are drawn to C&C.

Congrats on a hit success, Trolls!

I'll probably get one in the future; however, I have other things I want to get that are more important than the PHB (C1, C2, DB3, AWD, Crusader 5, etc). I'm just hoping that the updated poison rules will be made available for free in a PDF or some such.

The same poison rules will be in Miasmal Wyrms. And in the forthcoming reprint of M&T for that matter.

I've only got 2 copies of the PHB and M&T books as well as the PDF copies of them. However, I did act as a middleman and got many copies of these books to other people.

I can't wait to get my hands on the third printing of the PHB and second printing of the M&T !!

I'm happy to see that the new poison tables are being printed in more than one publication. I'm sure the fans are going to appreciate that. However, according to the announcement, the only significant change/revision was with the poison charts. Were the Encumberance (EV) clarifications not implemented in this new printing?

Just curious...

"Eratta" does not constitute a signifigant change. ^_~`

It seemed pretty significant to me!!
But if it's just one of those many little errata that got corrected, then I'm more than happy! I know a few players who are waiting for this printing before buying into C&C ...

Thanks,

I'd even settle for a reprint in the Crusader. I don't plan on rebuying the PHB or M&T and I haven't decided on Miasmal Wyrms yet.

Same here. I'm not a completest type who has to have the most up-to-date thing for a little blurb. And why do some of you guys have so many PHB's?

I got them for other people to use. However, because it is my money (or lack of it), I keep the books. I am a collector though, so getting a new print of the PHB is a must... besides, I need something to occupy the space I don't have!
