Torchwood is okay, I watch it (the Welsh actress is beautiful) but I think Dr. Who has the better writers and certainly a much greater history to draw from. the 2nd and 3rd seasons were better than the first, as David Tennant is a better Dr. than Christopher Eccleston.

Anyone looking forward to the new Christian Slater series.
The Jeckyl/Hyde whatever it's called. Anyway I liked the previews.
My Own Worst Enemy. I didn't catch it, but I like Christian. I wonder how it went?

OK, I'm fully back pn board with Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles after watching episode #3 of Season 2. The show had the opportunity to do what so many shows before it have done, and they surprised me with a great episode.

Supernatural season 4 is shaping up pretty well. Episode 1 of season 4 actually brought me back to liking the series. Season 3 was a bit off and on. I will try to watch episode two this weekend sometime, hope it lives up to episode 1!

LOST comes back Jan / Feb 2009.
Survivor started Thursday.
College and pro football is going right now.
And I just bought a Nintendo 64 with "The Ocarina of Time".
I'm set for TV...

I've been a life long fan of Doctor Who, but I have to say that while I've watched all of the new series, it has a fiew tendencies that bug the crap out of me.
One is the political soapboxing. I mean totally obvious slams on America, Christians and 'white males' in general that are not only unnecessary in the context of the story being told, but offensive and at times even hateful.
The other is the fact that the old series at least tried to stay within the realms of science or pseudoscience. In the Christmas Episode of 2007, we had the Doctor beatign the baddie by draining the Thames river into a hole into the center of the Earth in the space of about 5 minutes.
Finally, there is the 'everything and the kitchen sink' mentality of a lot of the episodes. It's not enough to have the Doctor wnadering around like a cosmic hobo just out of the love of doing so, he's got to save the universe and Earth in particular every other episode. All 4 series have ratcheted this up to bizarrely improbable levels and almost every one of these episodes ends up with a 'Deus Ex Machina' ending due to the impossibility of wrapping it all up in th time alloted.
Fortunately, I think a lot of this is at an end because the Producer, Russell T. Davies, who is so over the top in every aspect of his life that he wouldn't know subtle if it bit his nose off, is stepping down and being replaced by Stephen Moffet, who wrote the best episodes of the series so far. I'm hoping for good things after this year (which is only a couple of movie length episodes from what I hear).
As for Heroes, I've just started watching the first season (at episode 9) and am loving it.
SCC I loved in the first season but the serious improbabilities of the 1st episode of season 2 (Cameron only took a bit of skin damage from that explosion AND IT WAS TOTALLY HEALED THE NEXT EPISODE! Can't have her looking ugly, now can we...) made me go, 'oh well, it was fun while it lasted.'
I never liked BSG because of the T&A angle (makes me think one of the writers has a problem with real women and kinky sexy mindless robot women are his idea of wish fullfillment) and the shakey camera work.
Lost is going to lose me soon if they get some frigging episodes in the can and on the tube.
The thing I'm looking forward to most...new Futurama.
Oh and I can't wait for the new season of Pushing Daisies, a quirky yet clean little comedy that the whole family can enjoy...

I'm afraid Heroes, a show I really like, may have hit a Jump the Shark Moment by spinning Mohinder into a storyline blatantly cribbed from Jeff Goldblum's The Fly; we'll see. The Sarah Conner Chronicles has so far not been as good as its first season. But it's still early; both shows can turn things around. Fringe is da bomb; tight scripts, clever dialog, and a developing mythology that may make it a worthy successor to The X-Files.

V

Seaon one was pretty good, great in some spots. It has alot of plusses but its biggest drawback (anemic budget) was also kind of a strength. The lack of special effects killed the finale, which almost killed the show. I believe the best writers moved on before season 2 and the show really suffered after that. Season 2 was a disaster- the stereotypes that the show was based on became racist and the story just stunk.
I heard that some Vertigo writers have joined the show. This can only help and this season has been much better so far. As long as they stay away from lesbian chic that is (common is Vertigo titles).

Favorite shows right now:
True Blood (I actually read the book series that it is based on so I have more of the backround and stuff so everything makes sense)
Dexter (Ah, poor Dexter already having trouble this season with a botched murder, awesome though)
House (Sarcasm)
Project Runway
Heroes, I actually like how they are doing it so far, as long as they keep the timeline well organized... never mind they had to drag time travel into it... more.
and I watch SGA, it is descent so far this season just bored with Michael.

Heroes is the only show I watch regularly. Tv simply isnt there for me anymore. Other than that, I basically watch Law & Order: Special Victim's Unit reruns.
