So the wife and i finally watched Dead Man's Chest this weekend. And that begs the question, has anyone seen At World's End? How is it?

Saw it. The third was better than the 2nd, but had spotches of boring lulls, and some stuff I wish would've actually had a purpose. On the whole, its not a terrible film, but a cry away from the 1st. I suggest matine if you have to see it on the big screen

I thought it was a seriously awesome film.

Witty lines, sword play, ship battles, what else do you need?

We are going to see it tomorrow, so I hope that is what it has.
Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Still working my way through DMC. Not a bad movie, but oddly fast and slow and somewhat disconnected from the 1st film (but maybe not, as it just might be me and how much I did like that movie). I believe I read that this a bridge movie to the 3rd, and as such, perhaps it should be judged accordingly.

I saw the third one, and enjoyed it.

It think it had parts that should have been cut, and that there were probably parts that were cut that should've been kept, but it's entertaining. The sheer amount of double-dealing that goes on is absolutely byzantine - but I thought it neat.

One element they've progressively scaled back on was the sword-fighting. The first one had some great duels, but they haven't really done as much with the latter two. That being said, the final battle is really awesome.

Oh, and if you go, stay past the credits.

Saw Pirates 3 and thought is was terrible (when compared to the first two). The film is too long, Chow Yun Fat is waaaay underused, and frankly the story is kind of a mess. I got the feeling that when the movie began I missed some thing. Loose ends from the previous films are wrapped up too quickly and not very spectacular... remember how pirate 2 ended? Well let me tell you, it's not to spectacular to see how that element played out in Pirates 3... *yawn* It's almost like there was too much story to fit into the 3rd film, so the director crammed in as much as possible, to a less then spectacular effect. The visuals are grand, the setting and costuming is very cool, but Puirates 3 is by far the weakest of the trilogy.

I saw the 3rd film, and honestly feel that the 1st film is the best of the three. The other two just feel like Johnny Depp vehicles....

And I agree - Chow Yun Fat deserved a MUCH bigger part in the film.
