Anyone else had trouble with these guys? I tried to pick up a couple of C&C PDFs, and they took my money, but no download. PayPal's customer service email addy for them also bounces...

My service with them has been pretty good, for the most part. I had one problem order, years ago (on a Friday, IIRC) and they fixed it on Monday. This was also before the OneBookShelf merger thing, so perhaps the management is different.

I do know I tried to go to the site the other day and got the classic mySQL "Cannot connect to database error", so perhaps they're having some kind of DB issues.

Are they affiliated with RPGShop.com? (The names are similar and the storefronts look similar, but that could just be the software they use.) Because if they are, I can tell you that I just had one of the worst sales experiences ever with them.

I can't say I've had any experience with them, really, as the only things I've ever got were free things, since I refuse to pay money for a pdf. I have heard they have good customer support, but if the links are down, it might be some internal issue. If it continues, you have many options, of course, the first of which is to not buy from them again followed by a cancel of the payment (suggested to do it directly with the credit card company, and not PayPal, as they tend to be slow and uncaring.)

they have a sister sight called drivethrurpg.com that I have never had any issues with. (I am now knocking on wood) Now that they have merged is still haven't had any issues. I met the guys of rpgnow at gencon last year and they were very friendly. did they email you a link to your download?

No, no email, which is the problem. The PayPal transaction went through, but no link email, and my history doesn't list it. When I got my "immediate download" page after paying through PayPal, it only listed the last two things I ordered from them, back in January...

I mailed them using their online form just now. Hopefully that will get through.

I've never had a problem with RPGNOW. I think I've downloaded about 50 items from them with 100% accuracy. From what I've heard, I've been lucky in this.

I only picked up a few free things here and there. I'd just rather buy a book. How long ago was your order? Maybe they are just having some computer problems?

It's only been about 24 hours, so no panic yet...

...and I agree, for a guy who spits out PDF stuff left and right, I'm much more of a print guy, myself. Sometimes the stuff is PDF only, though!

I've had no problems at all in the 5 or 6 times I've ordered from them, so hopefully your issue will get resolved.

I've gotten a ton of PDFs from them & havn't had a problem. I'd rather have a real book, but each pdf is i less book taking up space -which makes my wife happy- and it is easy to take hundreds of pdfs on a maxtor labled as work tms when you deploy....

It has been a while sence the last one so the whole merger thing might have screwed things up though.

I know there have been some problems there, but things will be getting better soon. They are upgrading the server (the source of the problems and downtime) very soon and I have been told by James and Steve (the owners) that these little glitches will be eliminated then. We sell 150-200+ items a month through them and it is rare that I have a customer contact me with a complaint.

I'm glad to see your product line is doing that well. I hope my past pimping helped with that. I was concerned you were getting hardly any sales.

Even buying my own card stock and using Ink Jet for your products, and other similiar companies I buy from, have been well worth it to me.

Actually those numbers are for both RPGNow and DTRPG (same company so I tend to lump everything together). In fact, E-Z Dungeons Basic Set is still at the top of the 3D accessories category after being out for over a year and a half now (it's number 1 as of this morning when I checked). I really appreciate your support on various gaming boards! We're doing great, we've just been a bit slow for the last three months on getting new product out becuase we've been focusing on getting several large sets done in time for Gen Con instead of our usual pattern of one large set and then crank out several smaller supporting sets before the next large release. We're also getting a bigger booth than last year at Gen Con to display all of the new model sets we'll have. Make sure you stop by if you attend Gen Con as I have something for you (if not I'll mail it.)

I really hope I can make it, but its sure not looking promising yet. It looked like I was definitely going, but I ended up having to loan a few thousand dollars to a family member and I haven't been able to save any money up because of surprise expenses, etc... Like I had to spend $400.00 this month on having new brakes, including one rotor, and a new tire put on my Van. Plus its was my sons 14th B-day, that kind of stuff.

Well, as an update to anyone interested, no replies to my direct emails, emails submitted through their web form, or to a phone message I left for them. Definitely losing this customer! Now let's hope I can get my money back through PayPal...

Well, this is definitely the kind of service I got from RPGShop.com, so maybe they are affiliated after all. You might check to see if they have their own forums, and post there. Sometimes a publicly squeaky wheel manages to get some grease.
