Some of you seem to share my enthusiasm for the awesome Harn stuff.
Were you aware of this?

Down that page you will find a D20 Harn conversion document.
With it we can see how to convert it to C&C as well.

Sorry for the resurrection of a really old post, but...
Hey! I wrote that.

Well done! I'm rather fond of the Harn fan made materials. The quality is impressive overall.

Good stuff, Shane, I hope you get the same kind of passion going for C&C.

Very nice!
Off the top of my head, a quite easy adaptation for C&C would be:
1) Sindarin are C&C elves
2) Khuzdul are C&C dwarves
3) Humans are C&C humans
4) Half-elves are C&C half elves
5) Monks are not available
6) Shamans and Clerics of Siem are C&C Druids
7) Heralds are C&C Bards
8) Hunters are C&C Rangers
9) Rangers are multiclass C&C Rangers/Clerics

I've missed out on Harn. I do know there is a big box set of Harn down at the gameshop right now though.

Best Harn is 1st edition Harn. There is none other.

Was it for AD&D? Or a system unto itself?

A system into and of itself. Released in 1986 as I recall, by Columbia Games. Some consider the world to be the most detailed ever, though Tkumel is pretty high on that list, too.

That's all you need. Worth it for the map alone. I wouldn't bother with the rest, though, assuming you can find it.

Well... there's Hrnworld and there's HrnMaster. Hrnworld is (or was) system neutral - no rules, just setting info. HrnMaster is the game system designed for Hrnworld and came a bit later. Once HrnMaster 2nd edition came out, though, you had to buy HrnMaster stuff to get setting info for Hrnworld. I think Serleran is refering to HrnMaster, though the setting is in its 2nd edition so maybe he meant 1st ed Hrnworld?
I was once very, very into Hrn, but the COE (Council of Elitists) in the Hrn community sucked all the fun out of it for me.

I actually mean both, but forgot the distinction between the world and its game. Been quite some time since I played in it, or with it, and only got the 1st edition HarnMaster book again a few months back (more like 10, but hey, whatever.)

Just last month I ordered Harnmaster from Columbia Games. Not only is the setting really good but the system itself oozes "middle ages". And it's fun!

I was toying with the idea of doing a C&C guide for Hrn and calling it:
Peasants & Pottage - a game of bad teeth and death by infection

When I take the time to do it, I am actually changing the Harn price lists to silver based (meaning using copper, silver, gold, platinum, with it being silver based instead of gold), but I haven't been giving it neat the time I could if I wasn't running or playing 4 or 5 C&C/L5R games per week and spending the rest of my free time playing WoW. I should dedicate all my free time to C&C, right?

It's already silver based, yo! Khuzan gold crowns are super rare as is.
