I liked a lot of them. Top of the 1E list for me is I6 Ravenloft.

H2 and H3 of the Bloodstone Mines

Egg of the Phoenix

Lost Caverns of Tsojanth

Gauntlet and the Sentinel

Heck, it would be easier for me to say what I didn't like.

Temple of Elemental Evil, for example.

That's a tough call. I liked Queen of the Spiders and Temple of Elemental Evil, but I got the feeling from my players at the time that it was dragging for them (probably because I wasn't particularly good at running modules back then).

I'm going to go against the grain and pick something from 2e....

Ruins of Undermountain.

It had danger, wealth, devious traps, unique monsters, treasures, and spells. My PCs were scared of going into its depths, but they could resist. And it was a boxed set.

I second Undermountain. The gigantor-sized maps were just frikkin' COOL. My players got twitches when they caught a glimpse.

Ravenloft was probably our most memorable adventure from the old days.

We loved A1-A4.

Giant series kicked butt.

My group became the Llothbusters in the Queen of the Demonweb Pits. Ah, what fond memories.

My personal favorite was Undermountain. I managed to get a group into the 1st level through teleportation trickery, and only two of the six made it out.

I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Dear Old Undermountain.

The Shattered Circle I was pretty fond of, but overall doesn't seem to be generally liked that much as a module. WG4 Forgotten Temple of Tharizdun is great too!

Tomb of Horrors was great. It's so devious and evil. The Rod of Seven Parts is the epic adventure that I remember. It took us a long time to get through it. Now those characters are so high level that we don't use them anymore. Mine had an exact replica (except for the powers) of the Rod made as a souvenir. Never was able to finish the Temple of Elemental Evil. Most of the party died in a single encounter on level 3.

We had so much fun when I ran Night Below that I still have my original boxed set. That was an extremely fire adventure with very minor tweaks. Dragon Mountain was fun as well, as run by an old pal of mine. Actually I wouldnt mind running either or both of these in C&C.

WGR1 Greyhawk Ruins. I know it's not a popular module, but me and my players had a heck of a campaign there! I'll never forget when one of the PCs ate a pearl and took on a permanent clown visage!

How this gets to Page 2 with no one mentioning 'White Plume Mountain' is beyond me. Its hands down my favorite AD&D module of all time. But I'm pretty sure all of our 'favorites' are subjective. I remember having so much fun playing WPM back in 1983.

I loved "White Plume Mountain." I also have a soft place in my heart for "To the Aid of Falx" since it was the module the DM was running the first time I played AD&D (my first RPG).

I think the original Slavers are still my favorite. So much so I'm going to run it as soon as my players are high enough level in my C&C Wilderlands game.

Correct. In Search of the Unknown (B1) by Mike Carr was packaged in the Holmes Red Box as well as sold separately, so would be BD&D or just D&D. Definitely one of my favorite mods as it was the first one I DM'ed. Keying your own dungeon was fantastic, no? I still have my original notes on this*!
*Too bad, I'm not Mike Carr or anyone famous, then I could sell the notes on eBay!

Hmm, there's do denying the whole S series, A series, and G-D-Q epic!

But let me throw out a few less commonly chosen ones.

I'm kind of a softy for low-level adventures, and the setting and plot really make it for me, so my favorite module is U1 The Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh. (It also marked the start of the Greyhawk campaign I ran in high school. The other two modules of the U series were also pretty good, but not up to U1's standards...)

Other AD&D modules I particularly enjoyed included I3 Pharaoh, I8 The Ravager of Time, and GW1 Legion of Gold. Oh, wait, that last one is Gamma World.

I so ran that Gamma World adventure back in the day, M.I. I loved Gamma World and plan to check out the new edition at Gen Con this year.

Oh, man. "Land Beyond the Magic Mirror" has some weird, vague memories for me. I remember liking its bizarreness, but on the other hand, I experienced my first character death playing this module (a tough moment for a 10-12 year-old). We learned the grave error of splitting up the party when the players get pissy and can't agree on where to go. My monk's corpse is lying out there somewhere to this day. (Well, her bones are, anyway.)

I liked the idea of it. The actual execution was just okay (IMO).

I used them later in life as inspirations for my section in our work MUD. I programmed a huge twisted Wonderland area that was a lot of fun to build, and from what I'm told, a lot of fun to play in as well.
