Definitely the most "entertaining" movie I have seen in a long while.

5 STARS for entertainment value!!

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Transformers sucks. Bad acting, bad dialogue, disjoined storyline at times. I've seen the flick 3 times, and by far the most entertaining movie put out this year.

It rocked! Way better than I expected! I actually felt good after watching it thinking, "It's been a long time since I've seen a classically entertaining sci-fi action movie."

I might have to watch this. I hear OP is rather baby-ish, as in, not an effective leader and not like he's "supposed" to be. Doesn't matter, as long as lots of innocent humans get trampled!

Then Megatron will make you happy... in one scene inparticular.
Still, love the saying on the side of Barricade (2007 Ford Mustang police car): "To Punish and Enslave."

Whoa. It looks fun and hilarious. Was that one giant robot, rollerblading?
"A mystical bond between man and machine" . . . that's heavy!!

I have to say I really liked it too...I like the feel that Megatron and Starscream still have and Bumblebee too....The one thing I didn't like to much was Optimus's mouth seemed to low, but liked they kept the mouth gaurd for battle....Megatron kicked major butt!!!!! It was a great movie....

I thought it sucked.

I went to this movie all hyped and ready for some goodness. But other than the special effects (which were EXTREMELY good), the movie was highly disappointing.

I'll let my brother-in-law know. He worked on this one (he works for ILM). The simple fact that he's been raving about it is one reason for me not to see it. It means that all the budget went into SFX instead of a good script. Also, when I saw the trailers I thought, "Wow! It looks like they shoehorned Transformers into Independence Day." And I HATED Independence Day!!! One of my friends has been raving about it though. I'll catch it on cable.

Hah! When I first saw the trailer, Independence Day is what I thought of as well.

It is rare, and I mean really rare, that we go to the movie theater. This is a movie that managed to draw us to the theater. If it wasn't for my 6 year old son, I would have left the movie before it ended. I found it that bad.

So, instead I decided to just ignore the weak plot, poor dialogue and all the other poorly done parts of the show and just enjoy the FX eye candy.

Me too.

Transformers with a weak script, bad dialogue, etc...? I never noticed. I was having too much fun laughing and enjoying the show.

In at least 2 action sequences it magically 'transformed' from day into night! Amazing! And the product placement is almost sickening. And my final whinge is that the battle scenes were shot way too close. I had no idea what was going on half the time in the action scenes, but when the camera fell back (like the shot from the chopper over the desert with the scorpion-transformer) it looked spectacular.

Still, I laughed, I cried, I ate copious amounts of popcorn... what more do you want? Plot? Acting? Thematic development and mise-en-scene? HAHAHAHAHA!

Go forth, leave your brain at home, and enjoy!

It was a 2 1/2 hour chevy commercial.

Chrysler.

They were Chryslers. At least Bumble Bee, anyhow.

The close up and blurred shots did come very close to annoying me. I figured it was their way of covering up CGI mistakes.

I can see why. There was a closeup of a chevy logo every 5.4 minutes. It was very commercial like at times.

I was able to forgive the product placement in regards to the cars themselves... I mean, the whole point of the movie is to make vehicles look very, very cool. But ipods, nokia, mountain dew etc etc, all held lovingly towards the camera in an advertisement-like manner... ick!
