Should the `rogue' be renamed `thief'?

All topics including role playing games, board games, etc., etc.

I think that the real issue is whether Rouge is more obnoxious than Theif.

While you can't copyright certain terms, you can trademark and or product identity the look (layout et al) of a game as a whole. Since, honestly, it really ought not to matter what a given class is called, and rogue having such a wide meaning, better to be safe than sorry.

Arguments can be put forth for the whole business, but why take the risk over such a small matter?
