Basket System for the Site

Post by Troll Lord »

Aztec Jade is working hard on the new basket system for the site. This should make purchasing a little easier on folks.

Thanks,

Steve

That's a damn sweet thing for the Trolls to do. Damn fine aspect to the site, especially with all of the coverage at GenCon... people will need to buy some good TLG swag.

Could you *please... pretty please with beer, bourbon, and strippers on it* have a Canadian Shipping option as well? I swear I would spend so much more money that way!

Good stuff. I hope y'all made the basket larger. With all the new material being released we'll need 'em!

THis'll be great. Not that I don't like getting the Trolls' nice emails when I order by paypal, but it'll make ordering a lot easier.

U know, unless u live in the NW Territories it would prbly b cheaper to have it shipped 2 the border, then drive down and pik it up.

Mail from here to Canada is atrocious.

I think there is sorta a quiet trade war going on.

Hey Davis... I know shipping is expensive which is why I usually try and maximize what I order. With the cost of gas these days, it'll cost me more to drive to the border and back than shipping probably would. For a while, I've been getting my most of my C&C needs through NKG and what I've noticed is this:

The Canadian retail prices for C&C goodness seems to be taking into account a significantly lower exchange rate than what it actually is. I have to pay an additional tax on top of this. With today's rates, I would be paying $25.18 in US funds as opposed to $19.95 for a copy of the PHB

Of course, you have to add the shipping but if I'm ordering several items, not only do I start breaking even, I can actually save money!

I also prefer ordering some of these things direct or through other online retailers because I'm able to typically get the stuff in my hands a lot faster than having to try and get these things through my LGS. Don't get me wrong, I'll support the LGS if I can but they've done much to lose me as a customer.

Hopefully, with my move in a couple of weeks to a new city, I'll have better luck and a better game store.

Thanks!

Davis and I became very aware of how much C&C is not getting north of the US border. And its not very pleasing. So we are working on this very problem. We'll have some kind of solution soon.

Thanks,

Steve

Thanks guys... I really appreciate it. There are some dedicated fans north of the border for sure and I really think that it's a question of exposure. Right now, I have to say it is really word of mouth that's getting things moving here. There's certainly some C&C support in Montreal (where I'm moving to) and some happening in Ottawa (the LGS in Ottawa seems to at least order the new stuff in). I'll keep on hoping for better and do my part to continue spreading the news!

Cool. I generally dont order direct from TLG due to the crummy basket system and not adding multiple items.

Good move as now I'll likely start ordering direct.

Yes there is!
I'm starting to see more products, but they're ones I already have...
