What does your adventuring group consist of?
Newly rolled player characters?
NPCs/pre-gens?
Converted PCs from another game/edition?
My group has 3 converts from the 3.X Basic game:
Regdar - Human fighter
Lidda - Halfling rogue
Jozan - Human cleric
Newly rolled from scratch:
Boone - Human palidin
Adren - Elf druid
Nate - Human fighter
NPCs:
Mendell - Human wizard (Menlaus from Rising Knight)
Retired:
Klint - Human ranger (Kiint from RK). Klint got healed by Neegle the Witch and went back to Malforten to take a wife and become Warden of the Lands for Baron Botkin.
Kerwyn - Human thief (from the 3.X Basic game)
Seth - Half-orce barbarian

We always make new characters appropriate to the setting for any new campaign.
For one shots, I'll usually make pregen characters.

My current campaigns all consist of newly rolled characters. I have played in a few campaigns of late where old PCs come out of retirement to take up adventuring once again. Fun.

For my C&C campaign, it has been new characters every time. However, I'm taking the opportunity to convert some of my old AD&D characters to C&C for future references and NPCs.

Wow, BM.
Oddly seems to relate to that Kender thread on DF. Have you seen my reply?
Here, the gnome and halfling will run this party, no?

One CK needed to stop, due to work and other things (like preparing to move away) so we just rolled up some new PCs and got about half a session in; have not played for some 6 weeks though.

I miss the orange, man... the orange!

I haven't been back to DF yet. As for this party, it's comprised of 3 players each running two characters. The guy (my dad) playing the barbarian and cleric has the most experience gaming and is kind of driving things. Unfortunately for the party, he is pushing them in some semi-evil directions and I think we have some interesting role-playing coming up once the other players grow spines and stand up to him.

I had the party roll 3d6 in any order then they had to roll a random race and a random class. Here's what they came up with.
Female dwarven/mage.
Male half/orc knight.
Male half/orc monk.
Male halfling assassin
Male human thief.
Male dwarven knight (gave him double damage with axe x1 a day lasting 1 round per level instead of the x3 damage with lance.
Female gnome fighter.
Male gnome fighter.
Big party eh!
All characters that didn't have a preferred class have a 20% xp penalty. Yes I know its a bit mean but it does make sense as dwarves arent natural mages and Halflings don't have it in them to be assassins.
Cheers

You forced your players to take random classes and races and then stuck some of them with a 20% experience penalty to boot? I wouldn't call that "a bit mean"; I'd call that screwing your players over. But what the heck, if your players are okay with it and have fun, I guess it's all good. I'm just glad I'm not one of them.

Yep there fine with it, they don't really worry about levels and such they just like roleplaying and having fun.

Well if the players are OK with this method, then great. It's actually nice to see a group with more demi-humans than humans. Should make for some fun and interesting role playing!

Male Gnome Druid-Wizard
Female Halfling Assassin-Illusionist
??? - Undisclosed as the other player was not with us
The ones with two classes use modified Jackal MC rules.

How do you adjudicate that in C&C?
At any rate, our first run at C&C included, including replacement characters due to character death:
Human Houri [then a Paladin, then another Paladin]
Elven Bard [originally, for a one-off, a Spellsword, then a Druid]
Half-Elven Ranger [then a Cleric, then another Cleric, then a Fighter]
Elven Fighter
Human Monk
Human Wizard
Our current party is:
Elven Rogue/Wizard
Half-Elven Cleric
Elven Ranger
Dwarven Fighter
Some birdlike race Bard
I'm amazed that anyone plays the Iconics. Pre-gens, sure, but Iconics? Didn't know folks actually did that.

It was simple. Just hand out enough epp to make the minimum xp for everyone to be 4th.
We are going thru A1-4 Slavers.
