Going unplugged...

Post by moriarty777 »

Well, I'm right in the middle of my move and, at this stage, it's come to the point where I have to go 'unplugged'.

My electronics (PC included) are being brought over to the new residence tomorrow but my wonderful High Speed Internet (and phone for that matter) won't be transfered for another two weeks.

Reason: my significant other needs the access kept at our old location for another two weeks as she finishes writing her Master's thesis.

I won't be gone... but I figure I'll be sparse for a while. I'll steal away her laptop from time to time to keep on top of my email and some of the latest news during parts of next week.

After this weekend, a have just one more week before I become a permanent resident of Montreal. Hopefully the rest of my move (and subsequent unpacking) will keep me busy enough!

Later!

Oooh. Sacrifice. You know that if you don't do it then you're totally screwed...or not depending upon how you look at it.

Dropping off the grid can be quite liberating. Enjoy some reading time *without feeling the need to use google to double check something*.

I completely agree with the 'dropping off the grid' comment.

Though its been 8 years since I've been able to do it completely with a BIG C

but imagine

no phone, no house, no apt, no comp, no cell phone, no mailing address (accessible), no credit cards and no banking acct - for 2 years

Davis, I always thought you reminded me a little of Grizzly Adams a little and now I know why LOL!!!!! But you can write much better, especially better than his bear sidekick... By the way you rock.
