Forthcoming movie headed to the theaters. The books are kids books, but have some neat concepts in them.

I'm a big fan of Diterlizzi's work anyway. So I'm interested if the visuals will follow that. I haven't read the books but I have heard they are good even for kids books.

Knowing Hollywood and most directors, probably not! They seem to do a pretty good job of mucking things up!

FX look good so here's hoping for something better than most movies based on childrens lit. Feels a bit like Jumanji without the board game though...open the book and you open the door to a world full of creepiness.

To be honest I'm happy books like this are coming out for kids. I know I plan on letting mine read more like it to groom them to have an imagination.

Looks pretty neat. I'll be checking it out for sure. Looks a little bit more then just your normal kid fare, too.
