Ohio game day Oct. 20th

Post by Fat Dragon Games »

Just a reminder that Ohio Game Day #6 is in Dayton this year at the Bookery. Sign up is on the thread linked below on EN World. We're having a C&C game in the morning with slots still available:

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

I guess it would be cruel if I mentioned that FDG was providing swag (custom FDG dice, t-shirts, discount coupons, etc.) to all the players, huh?

Uh.

Yes.

Painfully cruel.

Just forget I mentioned it then.

I hate Ohio. No offense, but, damn, that state is either too fat, or slow... but the first time I came out to New York, I took Greyhound (I know, dumb, but it was cheap...) and it took 18 hours to go through Ohio. I kid you not.

Hmmm maybe I should add that everyone who plays will get sneak peak at some stuff Case (and I) have cooking in the Haunted Highlands. The 2 C&C adventures/scenarios were what Case and I ran at Gen Con this past summer.

Dayton isn't that far away. 215 miles or so. About 3 hours of driving. I'd go if I was as close as you.

If I was living in Ohio I would likely be in Norwalk, which is 90 minutes or so even further away from Dayton. I would still go.

It's moments like this I wish I had stayed in Ohio...

Then I realize what I'm thinking
And then I'm glad I didn't stay.

On a happy note. I used to visit the Bookery often. It is an excellent game store with lots of friendly helpful staff (one reason it is still in business!). Good gamers go there. I would try to go if I weren't already traveling elsewhere.

btw. I'm they guy who talked them into stocking C&C stuff. There's a good C&C group up in the Piqua/Sidney area that I gamed with. Good people those.

Ohio still has lots of gaming going on, even small game days like this go on a few times a year. Luckily on the west side of Cleveland there are a few gaming stores, one of which is just awesome. Lots of gamers and tons of games.

I travel to Columbus OH 3-4 times a year just for game cons, so I'm going to have to skip Dayton this time around. But, I can still wish for Dayton to be closer.

Then again, I am looking for another reason to get to Wright-Patterson AFB.
