Systemless, fun setting. Actually more like City sourcebook with lots of action going on around it.

Coming next week in PDF, next month in print.

Also, the d20 Freeport Companion is coming out soon. They already did one for True20. Wonder if they'll do one for C&C... we can hope...

I thought I read on their message boards a few months ago, that they were working on a C&C rules set. If I can find it, I'll post a link.

This is not a criticism; Freeport has seemed interesting but I never got around to getting it. But do they really need whole different books for all 3 systems? I know it's convenient and all, but it seems redundant. It's nice to think of a C&C version of, say, Bards' Gate, with all the statorrhea taken out, but doesn't seem necessary. Same for Blue Rose- isn't that a "convert-on-the-fly" type of thing too?

They could just have a "Web enhancement" with stat conversions, etc... Then C&Cers would be encouraged to buy it.

Its stat free, there is nothing to convert. Just pure fluff for a good pirate flavored game setting.

We decide the levels and powers, etc...

The Pirate's Guide to Freeport is really, really good. I'm glad they decided to put everything in one place and turn this into a real setting. Never played in Freeport, but with the exceptional quality of The Pirate's Guide, I'm going to be picking up the Cults of Freeport book for sure.
