An idea for TLG

Post by Julian Grimm »

I was skimming over my D20 Erde material when I saw an ad for 'Codex Germania'. Now this isn't a full call for the book (Though I'd like it) but rather an interest in a series of historical supplements for C&C. I could easily see a series of Gazateers for a fantasy europe based on historical events and cultures be a draw to the game and something I would be very interested in. Anyone else have an interest in these?

AD&D per se is as dead a system as Latin is a language, while the C&C game has much the same spirit and nearly the same mechanics. --Gary Gygax 8/16/06

I love historical gaming (with or without fantasy elements added). The series of historical gaming handbooks that TSR put out in the 90s was one of the few saving graces of that era for me.

Personally, I think this would make a great regular or semi-regular Crusader feature.

Sieg was really on to this project back in July, with a lot of responses on the topic. Havn't heard much since then, but best of luck in getting it done and sent to the Troll Guys. From the product description and the hints that Sieg gave out regarding the contents, it sounds so awesome. Hope to see Codex Germania in 2008.

I think Solo Modules might be a good idea, too. I'd buy them. MrsCharlie is a big fan of C&C and is trying out being a CK. But she doesn't like trying in front of the whole team yet, so I am playing the entire party of adventurers. If a solo module was around I would jump all over it like ugly on a orc.

I actually agree. While solo modules probably aren't exactly stellar sellers, ... steller sellers... hmm, yeah... Anyways, these type of mods are usually pretty easily adapted to more then one PC. They could be sold as for "Solo play or for one ot rwo additonal PCs."
