Crazy Sale

Post by DangerDwarf »

Green Ronin (through Paizo) is having an insane sale on their d20 products. 50+ titles for $2-$5.

I picked up 10 books (3 of them harbacks) for cheaper than it would have cost to get one of the hardbacks at retail.AND, that included shipping.

DD,'

Do you know if we can delete our ongoing subscription from the order without cancelling the subscription?

Since its 20,000 I suggest "Captain Nemo" as his title. Beyond the obvious connection, he is one who sails on his own terms and ignores those he doesn't agree with...confident in his journey and goals.

Should be able too. I think you have to talk to them direct to get the subscription canceled.

Well, I removed it, and it looks like it still works. Thanks for showing this DD, my LGS was acting like they didn't know what I was talking about.

And since the sale runs until 12/12I think I'll be making a 2nd order after payday.

This is just too good to pass up.

Yeah, I passed on 4 books this time. Maybe after DEC 01 I can buy them without guilt.

Blargghh! Bleah. *foams at mouth*

I bought almost every single one of those at or near list price. Only missing a few, and those are ones I simply don't want.

Guess this means when I go trading at NKG soon, I ain't gonna get jack. None of the Green Ronin books are in my "trade" pile, but it doesn't bode well.

hehehe... It's the beginning of the end!

I'm sure there will be other sales following similar patterns as 4th Edition looms ever so closer!
I've selected 4 hardbacks... not too shabby for the price! There is one item I might go back for and that's the Black Company.

*chuckles* Yeah, I love the tongue in cheekness of the apocalypse sale.

I hope a few other companies do similar as 4e grows ever closer. I might actually build up a d20 collection.

I have absolutely no GR products, so this sale was particularly nice for me. NOw I'm hoping to see Fantasy Flight do the same.

Wouldn't it be a little late for Fantasy Flight to be doing such a thing? Isn't most of their catalog 3.0? I do recall that much of the Legends & Lairs series was in remainder catalogs some time ago. Not knocking the products. I like them. But haven't they been closing the door on the OGL lines even longer than GR?

Midnight is certainly very popular, but I haven't seen it on store shelves in a long time. Same with Dawnforge. I picked up several Dragonstar books real cheap here recently as well.

Come to think of it, I had none until *very* recently. I picked up the True20 Pocket Player's guide last week (I saw it on sale). This sale now brings my Green Ronin products up to 5.

I'm suspecting that Fantasy Flight might do something like they did last year (which wasn't their first year doing it either). No hints about anything like that yet but I think if they do it, it will be closer to the beginning of December.

I'm sure there will be another push (sale) with FFG in order to try and get rid of some of their remaining stock.

It's never to late as long as there are still some Midnight titles that I am missing.

FFG was, probably, the best d20 company. After them, on the whole, it was AEG. And then, for pure "support material" it was a Necromancer Games (and I am qualifying this by not including any adventures.)

FFG actually did some pretty "groundbreaking" stuff. I'll miss them. Hehe.

great sale! Thanks for the tip (which Treebore spread over at the NG site). I bought the whole line of Thieves World stuff (I'm long-time fan; had the original box back in the day) for $26 or something crazy.

I couldn't pass up the Thieves World stuff either. But what is truely rediculous is the confirmation e-mail that says Paizo will ship the stuff out from their warehouse in 8-17 business days. 8-17 business days?!?! It's a good sale and all, but WTF is that about?

That may be the case if this sale is big, but I got my previous two orders within 6 days.

Yeah, I'm one of those people who gets agitated by lengthy shipping times. Really agitated. However, since this was stuff that I'm not dieing to get, nor would I have probably picked it up it it wasn't so cheap, I'm not overly annoyed by the wait.

I do hate it when my Pathfinders don't get here as quick as I want though.

Ditto on the ship times. However, what is annoying about Paizo and and the Pathfinder is that my copy always seems to come like a week to two weeks AFTER yours arrives DD. I know that because you have been posting when yours appears in your mailbox. Mine... 1-2 weeksa fter that. STINKS.

Noice. Eh, I knew there was a reason I very, very rarely ordered any product from Paizo.

Yeah, there are few places that I order from because of the length of time it takes for them to send something. NKG has spoiled me, they are damn quick.

I generally don't order from Paizo due to the time it takes. Also, and it pains me to say it, I generally won't order from TLG direct for the same reasons.
