I'm a Daddy!!!

Post by Orpheus »

It's official. My son, Samuel Albert, was born Thursday morning at 3:46 a.m. So far I've cried several dozen times and prayed more Rosaries then I can remember doing for quite some time. I'm loving every minute of it and I can totally see what all of my friends had been telling me about having children now. Now I just can't wait until he's old enough to through some dice and play a little C&C.

Thanks Ser. No doubt about that. I found some of my old Lone Wolf books the other day and remembered how much fun I used to have with those books and then playing outside pretending to be a Kai Lord. I then though, "If video games were as advanced as they are now, would I even have done this stuff?" I definitely want to keep the cable off, playtime special, and his imagination running wild.

Congrats Orpheus!

Remember to lay the new diaper on his private parts just as soon as you take off the old diaper. Then, after you throw the old diaper away, put the new one on.
Keep up the Rosaries too!

Kids are the most awesomest things ever. And the only way to make them is by having sex, so it's a win-win.
Congratulations.

Congrats to you & yours!

It is all good. I think it's the loss of sleep during the first 3 months that makes everything they do funny......

Congrats! Got 2 boys, myself, and they're just starting their RPG career. Good times so far. Can't say I'd wanna go through all that baby stuff again, diapers and teething and sleepless nights--no thanks! The boys changed my life but that don't mean I wanna change any more diapers.
Enjoy every moment, they grow up really fast.

Thanks to everyone for the congratulations, advice and warnings. I'm finally getting a handle on the whole diaper-changing routine. I went ahead and took my vacation starting last Wednesday so I burned it up as of today. I go back to work tomorrow (my birthday and what was Samuel's original due date) for one lovely day as we're off on Thanksgiving and Friday, so this will be my first actual day suffering from infant sleep deprevation. I am so dreading it.
