Out of the closet for Steve

Post by Troll Lord »

Alright, I've got my head out of the dust. We've updated web page, announce the 12 Days of Christmas Sale, updated the blog (big news here) and now I'll scour the boards and bump a bunch of mess.

Thanks,

Steve

So, TLG really means transvestite looking good? Meow!

Good to see you posting to the boards. The Press and Products forums have missed you most. Hehe.

Roger that.

I jumped all over that, even e-mailed a question and Steve answered in like two minutes!
I can't wait to see what's coming down the pike over the next two weeks.

Nice! I guess we will be seeing some playtesting action soon. I will alert the rest of the group as to their impending doom at the hands of a power hungry CK armed with new options!!!! Muahahahahahaha

He's busy off fighting turtles.

You need a digital initiative. Take the C&C Society virtual, with membership benefits (discounts on products), special offers (access to web features such as downloadable maps and the like), and group participation events like an e-con.

And virtual beatdowns for mentioning Gleemax in a good light.

He's also in need of a person who's willing to tackle that as a full time pile of work with no certain benefit. ^_~`

...Which is such a massive endeavor that to say it would be difficult is bordering on an insane statement. The society is tough, but it remains strong on these boards. No name is needed in the rolls to be a valuable member of the scoiety. C&C is the key, let your imagination be the door.

We'll see you on fields of glory!

Actually I think we should go the other way. Start a Table Top Initiative showing the beauty of gaming face to face with family and friends over digital.

I am amazed that RPG's aren't marketed as great family time. Its better than any board game or card game I have ever played with my kids. We prefer RPG's over Hero scape, Axis and Allies, Monopoly, Scrabble, Apples to Apples, etc...

It's turned into a family event here as well. With a good chunk of gamers now having families I am surprised as well no one picked up on this either.

One of the stated goals of C&C is to bring new players in the fold. Why do you think I'm so hot on people organizing school activities?

Family time is one thing, an educational tool (especially for home school folks) is another.

That is a thought too. My main thought is that this should be promoted as gathering time for friends, family and such. Enjoyment in the company of one another in a face to face setting. Not gaming by the warm glow of the screen with someone in Rizakistan who you'll never meet. Not that anything is wrong with the above but face to face is much more enjoyable in my book and would help reteach people to socialize amongst each other instead of in a void.
