Has anybody been to the UPCOMING PRODCUTS section lately? I think that TLG annouced that 6-7 products are finished, or very near finished. Man, the next couple of months are going to be filled with TLG goodness.
And that's NOT even counting Crusader #4 which should be seeing the light of day in the next few weeks!
WOW.

Haunted Highlands looks interesting for a little mini-setting. I'll pick this one up and possible use it for one/two-shot C&C games.

Bowbe (Case) said it is going to be a 12 module series. We'll have to get him to CK it at the OK Con next March/April.

Will Haunted Highlands be out in PDF?

I didn't realize that it was going to be a series, not that it really matters, I'll be picking it up either way.

Yeah, loads of material has been released and it's still coming! This should turn out to be a great year for fans - and hopefully TLG!

Its rather like the "A" series. 12 modules cumulating in a 13th hardback.

That could change my plans a bit, I like to get all of a series before I start a campaign (Which is why I have yet to run anything in the "A" series). Myabe I'll just stockpile everything for the HH and keep working on the homebrew, or go with the DCC campaign setting when its released.
Sitll I'm looking forward to this.

Don't worry dude, it's not "that" kind of series.
It's more of a series of "loosely tied" products that you can play as a whole or peace meal. I don't like straight jackets with my D20's unless i'm playing a B&D themed game.
Haunted Highlands offers a cool starting point. Other modules will have locations near and around it. None of them is a systemized set of "you must do this in order to play the next book" type campaign. I hate that.
The Crater of Umeshti for example is a series of dungeons/dungeon crawls. IF your characters get bored however, they can leave and come back another time to delve deeper. Designed for repeated forays and all that.
I'm currently ironing out the kinks of Dro Mandras, writing a series of activities the PCs can partake in to lift the siege. Otherwise you can take it or leave it, or certain parties could avoid the place alltogether.
Each book has about 4-5 if you want you "could" tie it to another book in the group type encounters but they can be farmed out for later or not bothered with at all depending on what you like. It's the best of both worlds for a CK, they can manipulate an extended campaign out of the offerings, or use them as one offs that tie to a different campaign. You get to look like your running "on the fly" but totally know whats going on with every part.
Hope that makes sense?

PS: Just kidding, I totally understand where you're coming from Case. Matter of fact, I thought the same way as Mal. I hate running a setting without having all of the details. However, the way you explain sounds like it would work, regardless.
Are we really to expect DB2 in September? Does that sound like a solid date, Case (Trolls)? Because I'm looking for a dungeon crawl to use in a C&C store campaign which might get off the ground in a few weeks. If this is the case, I could use HH for setting failry easily ESPECIALLY of a good dungeon is coming out soon there after.

Casey, I guess it seems that your HH modules are already written. When HH was announced almost a year ago (November 2005 I think), your comments seemed like most of the work was done then. I was surprised to see HH slip to July 2006.
Just sayin'.

Yeah, they are mostly all written. Different issues arose (mostly with printing and distributors) as you have probably seen E.G.G mention in threads on various sites you have seen, hence the slide in the release date. Others some simple miscommunication which has since been ironed out as well. It's tough for freelancers when we don't live in the same zip code as the publishers we love working for. No worries and sorry for the lag.

We've more in the wings. Crusader 4 should ship this week and Davis will put the wraps on Wicked Cauldron and I'll have Mortality of Green done in the next day or so. I am confident that we are finally getting out line straigtened out.
