Cult of Yex

Post by Storm Queen »

I was hoping to run the Cult of Yex adventures this year and re-start my campaign. Anyone knows if we'll ever get more than CoY #1 released, even as PDFs?

I don't think anybody here knows for sure, other then what Stevey C. mentioned a few months ago.

Because v3.5 gaming is going away, honestly i would doubt it. But that is only my opinion.

#2 and #3 are being worked on. There's just a lot to do during the day and they aren't getting done as fast as wanted.

My hope is they'll drop the 3.5 thing and release all this series as Castles & Crusades modules.

I think Steve mentioned something about this at some point. I'd have to check to be sure but the vague recollection is that contact was 'lost' with the authors.

Don't quote me on that though... I could be confusing the Yex project with a different one.

Steve did say that he lost contact with the authors some time ago.

Yes, I already knew that (and referenced it in the first post, in fact), but am unaware if there were any provisions that might allow the finalization, or if TLG was waiting for each installment to be delivered. Oh well, it likely means that Cult of Yex will never be finished. I kinda liked it.

Steve did say that Cult of Yex II was done, or at least turned in. Steve threatened to release part II (about a year ago or so if I recall right), but it just never came to be.

Yeah, Cult started off with such promise. Too bad the author(s) flaked out. I could have sworn I saw the second one available, and I just couldn't justify the extra money to get it at the time. Maybe it was PDF only?
