Yeah, I don't trust Derek as far as I can throw him. But I'm beginning not to trust Cameron either.

I absolutely LOVED the time travel plot device about the secret weapon of John Connor. Watching jet engine turbines powering time travel devices was just flat out badass.

SPOILER

I wonder if Cameron taking what possibly was a terminator CPU was a way to keep up on the timeline shifts that they create.

Not sure about that one. Tough to tell. However, I was thinking that eventually she will have to "evolve." They do nake a mention that the reprogrammed Terminator units just "sometimes go bad." That is why I am thinking of the evolution storyline. I hipe it's something more to be honest, because the evolution storyline is a bit tired in today's sci-fi, but as long as the show keeps up it's current pace and writing... good times, good times.

Yeah, that's why I mentioned the "intrigue" and "suspense" of this episode. They are opening possible story lines or just shaking it up for the viewers.

Personally, I think Cameron will remain John's protector and a hero type cyborg. What may be happening is her "development" and "growth" as a thinking, reasoning and intelligent robot. Of course, that is scary for sure - since you always think they may go haywire or something.

That's good to keep fans on their feet or guessing and so watching the series!!

I hope to see more of the war in the series. This really made it feel like the original Terminator. Especially when Derek's story got intertwined with Kyle's from the first movie. Nice touch the burnt picture of Sarah being discovered.

Oh and how can I forget finally getting to see an early model rubber skinned Terminator. That thing was creepy in a Michael Myers, Halloween way that I won't be forgetting soon.

Dorky, but appropriate.

For those of you who have watched last week's epsiode, did I miss something? When the old-school rubber faced Terminator was taking prisoners in the basement of that old house, they were being taken to a closed off room. What the hell were the prisoners shown in the room? Who did they talk to? What was going on down there?

Nobody knows. They left that pretty vague. I'm beginning to think and un-reprogrammed Cameron was down there. That's why Derek knew what she was later.

Wow, just wow. Another great show.

I'm thinking this may have everything it takes to be a "blockbuster" show.

Heck, I can't remember - going back in the last 10 or more years being this entertained by a TV show.

Well done . . again!!

It's a good show and even this latest epsiode bringing in old movie characters was cool. I can't beleive how smart this show is. Good writing, good ideas and all that. I don't think it's the best TV in the past decade, but for sure it's one of the best genre shows in the past 10 years for sure.

Don't be a hater with some preconcieved notion of what this show is. Check it out.

Yeah, it was excellent that they could "reach back" into the movie for material. I had thought there are no limits in a show like this because of the time travel angle. And aside from that - just the usual prior history/events could be jacked in easily. And they did it so very well.

Good call, it is a very "smart" show!!

I'm hoping the show doesn't go on forever because of the time-travel angle. Sci-fi shows recently have done too-much time travelling. The movies stated that to time travel to the past is a one-way ride. However, in the 2nd epsiode this season of Terminator TSCC we learn that it is possible to travel forward in time (the main characters do this).

If the show pays close attention to the timeline they give, the show should last for 4 seasons before SkyNet unleashes the apocolypse in 2011.

How cool would that be if the show ended at the end of the world?

I suspect the short season is a result of the writers strike. It will be interesting to see if it comes across as a season finale episode or just the last one they were able to film before the strike.

Regardless I hate to see it end. I started off thinking the show was not all that good and now I look forward to it. Now all we can do is hope that Fox picks it back up for next season.

Indeed the short season is completely due to the writers strike. No doubt that this show was going to have short season anways (as it was always planned as a mid-season replacement), and the fact that it is a hyper-expensive TV program, no doubt.

I watched the first couple of episodes this week on Virgin 1 here in Britain. It seems okay to me so far.

Fantastic! I was hoping that there would be something more, epescially with the new Terminator movie coming out next year (Christian Bale as the adult John Connor). Heroes and Terminator, looks like a good fall season.

Yes, the fall season looks especially interesting.

Crusoe looks pretty good. I'll give it a try.

And the new Knightrider ~ heh, I've got to watch at least the first episode looking for a few laughs!

Yep, for sure. The girls look great, the show and plot are very good, actors good. I hope it continues and I see no reason why it won't. Lot's of plot possibilities and fun "twists".

With the new Terminator movie coming out next year, you can bet FOX is going to keep the TV show alive as long as it can. There may opr may not be any movie to TV show parallels, but what a better way to advertise the new Terminator movie then having a TV show about it.
