Has anyone layed this? Any good??

Its basically a miniatures wargame but using cards to represent units instead of expensive figures you need to paint. A whole army in a deck of cards. I play Warhammer, so it obviously has some appeal to me.

Isn't this game collectible? I saw it demo'd a few years ago at Origins and it looked pretty nifty. Never played it, but if it is a CCG... fuhget 'bout it.

Nope, not "collectible" like Magic. Two decks for each army, one Starter deck, one Reinforcement deck. You really only need two starter decks to play. I saw these decks for about $12 at FRPG.com, so not a bad deal if its a good game.

I have played this 2-3 times at Origins.. and each year I pick up another complete army.. right now I am at 3.. Orcs, Men, and Undead.

The game is a lot of fun, very simple to understand, and it takes up almost NO space to store. Cards fit nicely in the boxes, but since you really want to use card sleeves, it would have been nice to oversize the box, as sleeves will NOT fit in the regular boxes.

Units get degraded as they take hits, and morale is definitely a factor in fights. Tactics are really required.. running across the field to smack your opponent will work initially, but as soon as he flanks your units, you WILL run away..

For the money, this is definitely worth it.. production values on the cards look like they will stand up to many many repeat playings..

My suggestion is to get 2 Starter Armies and play a game. This is not a big investment, and will get you started (as they plan). However, you CAN go to their website and read the rules for free.. www.yourmovegames.com
