I don't want to have to log in to browse the forums without the assault of the black-style layout that the forums now use...

Please bring back the original!

Have you tried changing your theme? I'm using one called IceBlue or something, and have no issues. Heck, I didn't even notice there was a change, really. Only very light cosmetic ones.

As Serleran pointed out, you can go into your profile settings and pick whatever theme you want to view the forums with.

Those of us who clear out our cookies all of the time, when we log into TLG MBs we get the assualt of black. When we change our profile to ICE (or whatever) once we log in the screen goes from BLACK to whatever we set. It's a bit unnerving to go from BLACK to whatever. Back in the day, it was nice lite silver/grey and then silver/grey when you logged in.

BLACK.

When i'm logged in, it's fine. It's when i'm not logged in that's the problem. I don't want to log in to just browse the boards, is what i was getting at.

Ya ya, call me lazy, but i likes what i likes. White text on black is much harder on the eyes and black text on white. Ick.

Well I'm always logged in and never tinkered with the themes, so I have the good old 'that color' on white

Nothing's change here. It's been the "gray theme" for as long as I can remember.

I never see the Troll Lord Games logo for some reason; doesn't matter whether I am logged in or logged out. In any case, I like the 'black' background...

Well guess I've never not been logged in here (double negative )

Course the Troll Lords logo has a black background that makes it stand out

Heh, heh. I am willing to bet we agree on more things than we disagree, but discourse is the only way to find out for sure!

I feel ya, bro. TL is the only forum I occasionally sneak in to while I'm at work, but I don't have a private computer, and can only make fly-by visits, so I don't log in. Matter of fact, I checked the forum today from a computer at my buddy's workplace, and was annoyed there as well by the black theme.

Actually, I happened to open up the forums on my opera browser with the "new" desktop that we're using downstairs and saw the aforementioned "black" theme. I liked it and switched my theme to that one.
"The question is, 'how much more black could it be?' And the answer is, 'none. None more black."
