So my wife, our friend Brooke and myself went to this area con called "Fire & Ice," and our friends at My Parent's Basement (FLGS) let us set up a demo game of C&C. He's added the Core Books and the A series, and I discussed him ordering and carrying the CZ stuff as well.
We set up, I spread my swag out, including Darlene's fabulous map. You know, that was the best draw - I had several people come up to ask about everything just from that map being out on the table.
Anyway, I convinced one new person, a big 1e fan who never got into 3.x, to join us, and I ran one of my one-shot adventures, Danovar's Desire, a 12-room quick dungeon crawl. Three fighters and an NPC Wizard (I let each character have 1 cure-light wounds and 1 heal for the adventure since we were absent cleric or rouge/thieving types!)
To Steve and the Trolls - this was much bigger a "little" con than I was expecting - turnout in HUNDREDS+ - most of the game stores from around the area, and WotC had some rep there. Next year this is one you guys should send someone, or get one of us NE Wisconsin fellows to represent C&C on....
P.S. The adventure I ran was one I submitted awhile back for Crusader, just before Jim Ward took over.... just curious if it got passed on to him or did I need to resubmit?
Oh, and P.S. again - we looked over and the guys running the Star Wars d6 game were there as well! Had flaskbacks to Winter Con!

That would've caught my attention, too. I've always been a sucker for an intriguing map!

Right you are. I haven't actually detached that from the book yet, but it does look nice.

That's a great report, John. Glad to hear about the CON and your game . . . The Crusade continues thanks to you!
