Here's hoping the CK Guide is...

Post by slimykuotoan »

Since it's not finalized, we can do some last minute begging...

I'm hoping for something similar to the AD&D DMG, in terms of hirelings, strongholds, wilderness adventures, wandering encounters, etc.

That is also the sort of material that I would like to see in the CKG. I am all for the discussion of mechanics and variants within the book as well, of course.

Mass Battles, Strongholds & Dominions, etc. I'm good with that!

I agree with all of the above. I prefer being able to keep playing once players are into high levels rather than retire them, but I don't want the game to turn into the complication that Epic Level 3E D&D was. I like the way 1e AD&D handled high levels with administration of a fief or granted land, high level adventures, followers, and the like. Sure, it changes the feel of the campaign but it doesn't turn into checkers ("King me!") or a deification game.

Anyway, that's my long-winded way of saying my first sentence.
