Have you guys seen the Savage Worlds Custom GM Screen?
It's made like a menu with the pockets to insert your own custom inserts etc... I saw one in my FLGS and it looks cool!
Have inserts for each of your different games or scenarios...

No, it looks pretty cool, but a bit pricey.

I hear/see them mentioned pretty frquently, by my Kenzer Kalamar screen is just too awesome to give up. Even though I have quit d20 there is still a good bit to use and help me out on it.
Even when the CK screen comes out guess what will be opened right behind it.

Must get CK screen as soon as it comes out.... AT ALL COSTS !!!
But seriously, I myself ended up getting a free screen for d20 Modern, and I'm using that mostly as a barrier. In the event I start whipping dice at ungrateful players, I fear that they may start retaliating in kind.
Hmm... maybe that wasn't so serious.
I also have charts and tables from hanging from the inside for quick reference.

Yeah, that Savage World Screen is kinda pricey but still looks nice. I might pick it up.
Currently I'm using a Dragonlance screen with Traveller's screen stuff attached to it. Works quite nicely but I'd still like an official C&C one.

There was a company about 5 years ago that came out with a tri-fold screen that you could slip pages into. A few months ago I wanted the CK screen so bad because I was running games at conventions. Since it looks like it will be a while before we see the CK screens, I just use my old tri-fold with Traveller's Amazing CK sheets on one side. The other side of the screen I scanned images of the PHB, M&T and the cover of the Character Record Sheets. This has satisfied me for the time being.
*grumbles*
no damn screen yet...

CK Screen! CK Screen! It's the best thing you've ever seen!
Sorry.
I will be very excited to see a screen for C&C. I've been using the Warhammer 2e screen, just because It'd feel wrong to use a 3e screen.
I just picked up the new Runequest screen, which is pretty boss and similar to the nWoD screen, from the sound of it. That might get used to, since the imagery is a little more C&C appropriate.

I use a screen from TETSNBN......with Traveller's CK screen printouts stapled over the otherwise useless info. Works like a charm...despite the lousy artwork. :\

Yeah, that Runequest screen does feel pretty heavy duty. I'm still debating on adding the rune magic elements of the setting to my C&C game.

I use two 3-ring binders with clear cover inserts. Rip the ring assembly out and insert your own screen material. Use a binder clip to hold the two binders together and you have a 4 panel custom screen. I think I spent around $5.

That is a good MacGamer award. Congrats.
Originally I used slave labor as my CK screen. If I needed to know a bit of information I'd just ask my CK screen. Oh, and if players got snarky and wanted to look behind the screen, I'd just ask my CK screen to throw dice at the players.

I'll be doing landscaped versions for the Savage Worlds screen. I've taken artwork for the fronts from Goodman Games (Erol Otus and Willingham being my fave) because I'm doing an old school type feel.
As soon as I get them done I'll post away.

I have one of those Savage Worlds screens. When you get them done, would you perhaps be willing or able to make the results available for general consumption? Perhaps just the CK charts, if distributing art is an issue.
Otherwise I have some great CK screen charts I downloaded from someplace a while back (maybe they're Traveller's?) that I can use with my Masterscreen Quad.

Actually I think I've had a break through on the screens. I've got to talk to Peter . . . which I will do right now . . . and figure a couple of things out. They won't be out in two weeks. But I am holding out hope that they will be out in about a month or there abouts.
And I agree, SRONGLY AGREE, the wall must be maintained between CK and players!
Thanks,

I have the Kenzer Kalamar screen and it is rather funky (and sturdy). I would like a CK specific screen though. Any news?

Yes!
I'll put up a general post shortly to let folks know where we are on a vairety of projects. But we've gone through the 19th layout right now. Davis and I are pretty happy with them, I'm going to converse with my printer in the next day or so and see about the possiblity of doing a three fold, lateral screen. Once I have confirmation I'll turn all over to the esteemed Mr. Peter Bradley for layout.
Lateral? I like this idea, as it allows the CK to see over the screens with standing up or perching on his chair.

I think it's important that a screen serve both the CK and the players, as such, I propose that the CK side contain many tables, elements and charts which will help the CK run a successful game of C&C.
on the players side, there should be in large 500 point type listing of rule 0
and only rule 0
that should help smooth out any 'rules' discussions during a game nicely.
Thanks for listening to my request
Cheers,
J.

What about Rule 1?
In the event of a serious problem, refer to rule 0.

Whoa. It sounds like these screens are really going to be KICK @$$. I can't wait. Just the other day at our game, my buddy was actually looking at my scribblings of AC/monster HPs and such. I had forgotten to pull out my old AD&D screen.
So it's not just hiding rolls (or faking them to get the player's attention) & hiding minis, but keeping curious players from trying to see how close to death the monsters are!

The fronts can't be distributed due to copyright stuff but they were easy to make.
Here's one in pseudo-action (taken this morning about 5:00 a.m.)
What I really like about these screens is that they are lower so you don't miss as much of the action and it doesn't seem like too much of a barrier. I tend to stand when gaming anyway so everything is right there and the screen is wide enough to assist with avoiding the prying eyes of players.
The only bad thing is most fan made material for screens is not landscaped so I have to put my own together. Not that it's that much of a problem.

But for the true classic gaming feel, nothing beats a three panel portrait screen, except of course a four panel screen. Unfortunately, I'm not about to sacrifice an AD&D four panel screen, not when I can just as easily sacrifice a Vampire: The Masquerade three panel screen that I got for absolutely nothing.
PeelSeel's site I believe has a link to a landscape screen that anyone can use. And of course, there's mine. However, in a foggy moment, it seems I left the house ruled rules I use for Challenge Classes in the document. I just found this, so I'll be making an update to my screen later today.
I do apologize, but the perfectionist in me can't let this one go.
P.S. Ozric, you can tell if they're mine or not, just by the fonts used. If they look like they'd fit into a Castles & Crusades book, they're mine.

Traveller: The screen I downloaded must indeed be your handiwork. The charts are most excellent and I'll likely be using them when I get my C&C game started. Thanks for making them available P-)
