This was brought up in another thread recently, and I'd thought I'd inquire about it in the Open Discussion section since it gets more traffic!
The print conversion of "I1 - Vakhund: Into the Unknown" mentions a free PDF (password protected) to supplement the trilogy with NPCs and maps, etc. I believe other people mentioned this before as a 'hold-over' from the previous edition of Vakhund but I'm left to wonder if that is really the case.
In the d20 version, and the initial C&C PDF version, there is no mention of this file at all. However, when the C&C print version was finally released with new material added, this also appears to be the first reference to this file. The PDF version was updated and reflects this as well.
Is there an official word on this? Was this something that is largely done but overlooked?
Many Thanks!
M

I think there may have been reference to it in the d20 version of Felsentheim. I'll look when I get home.
But here's what the current PDF version of Vakhund says:
"Should you be interested, a free pdf is available at the Troll Lord
Games Website with lists of various non-player characters, their
stats and motivations and a glossary of terms, a map covering a
larger swath of territory as well as a plot overview for the entire
Death on the Treklant series. There are also alternate rules
contained therein for those interested in using rules particular
to this setting. This information was not made available in this
module for brevities sake and is not necessary to run the adventure
simply shading to add depth to the setting. It is a password
protected pdf to prevent players from accessing this important
information. The password is ......."
Mostly, what would have been of great help to me, would have been the plot overview for the series. As it is, I sat down with the three modules, and marked sections where the plot is discussed. Then I typed summaries of the sections, organized and arranged them, applied a timeline, and was able to piece together how the story came about, after some research. It's really a great plot, once you figure out all the intricacies!

The old d20 version of Felsentheim says this:
"There are numerous spin-off adventures the DM can take advantage of if the characters choose to bring Evanna back to Bergholt. These adventures are further detailed on the Troll Lord Games website, though not exhaustively, and can be downloaded for free. The DM is encouraged to develop them on her own to make them fit her style of play."
References more source material, but not necessarily in PDF format.
In any case, would be extremely handy.
I just found another thread where it was mentioned that the Vakhund PDF was "lost in the shuffle".
